Floodline at the Smokies Game!

Tonight was such fun! Floodline HS Ministry went to the TN Smokies Baseball Game!

Josiah loves going to sporting events & so far, his team has never lost!

I hadn't decided who to cheer for because the Smokies were playing my home team, the Carolina Mudcats. Josiah, however, insisted that I was cheering for the Smokies.

We all had a great time watching the game, being silly & eating lots of food!

The Smokies won the game & there was lots of kissing & cheering going on!

After the game, they had a fireworks show. Josiah was thrilled that his team won & that they had fireworks! What a great time with Floodline at the Smokies Game!

3 Months Pregnant!

I've not been very good about taking pictures of my pregnant belly with this baby since I have felt huge from the very beginning. Some friends & family have been wanting to see my baby bump, so I thought I'd humor them every so often. In this picture, I am 3 months pregnant!

First Library Card!

Today, Josiah received his very first library card. We used the public library in Seattle multiple times a week & I never thought of getting him his own card...go figure! Since I had to get my own card, I thought he'd love to get his own card, too. He was very excited & loved checking out his books on his own. I know it's not a big deal, but it's another reminder that he's growing up when he gets his first library card.

July 4th Weekend Day Four!

This weekend has been so much fun! It's been so nice to get away with my guys & have no schedule & no agenda. Pure family time...that's just what we needed.

We swam our lives away again this morning & then had to check out.

On our way home, we stopped by California Pizza Kitchen for lunch.

Josiah put away his own pizza & then wanted to help me eat mine. He loves pizza!

We ended our 4th of July by walking around our subdivision watching all of the many firework shows. A lot of our neighbors were lighting up the sky tonight! What a perfect way to end a perfect family weekend!

July 4th Weekend Day Three!

Day three of our mini-vacation started just like day two. We had a nice breakfast & then spent the rest of the morning in the pool swimming like crazy!

After showers, lunch & naps, we went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 at the theater.

Josiah loved the first one & was so excited that we were going to see the 2nd one.

After the movie, we ended our evening with a nice dinner at Red Lobster. You can't go on a mini-vacation with seafood, right? Great day with my guys!

July 4th Weekend Day Two!

We woke up in our Atlanta hotel this morning & decided to swim.

Swimming is one of Josiah's favorite things to do.

We love this picture because it looks like Josiah's walking on water.

These two guys are like fish. They could swim & swim for hours. Preggie over here was exhausted after 20 minutes. They had the best time splashing & playing around.

We finally got tired & hungry. We spent the afternoon eating & playing in the room. That night, we got dressed & went to Bahama Breeze for dinner. Yummy!

After dinner, we went to Pirate's Cove for some putt-putt golf.

Josiah loves anything pirates.

This was his first time playing putt-putt & he did really well.

He did get frightened (pretending) by the sharks lurking around.

We had such a fun time laughing & putting that night. It will always be a favorite memory of mine.

We ended the night with some Coldstone Creamery. It doesn't get much better!

July 4th Weekend Day One!

Dustin was given a few days off for July 4th & we spontaneously decided to leave town. Our family typically doesn't do much spontaneously. The three of us have never been away together just us. Every time we have time off or money for a vacation, we spend it to fly to one coast or the other to visit family. So, we decided it was time to do something just the three of us. We packed our bags & headed to Atlanta, GA.

We chose Atlanta because it isn't far & is easy since it was last minute. Plus, Josiah has always wanted to go to a Braves Game. We drove to Atlanta Friday afternoon & headed straight for their Friday night game against the Baltimore Orioles.

Turner Field is such a beautiful baseball field. Josiah was thrilled!

This was Josiah's 1st Braves game, but his third professional baseball game.

As with every other sporting event we go to, Josiah had to get his pizza. He really liked going to the Braves game, because they do the Indian War Cry & the chop. He was doing the chop & singing the war cry for the rest of the night & most of the weekend. So, we bought him his very own Braves tomahawk.

As with every game Josiah attends, his team, the Braves won!

When the game was over, we say back & enjoyed the beautiful firework show.

Josiah loves fireworks. He sat on the edge of his seat & watched.

After most people had left the stadium we walked around watching Josiah chop & cry with his new tomahawk. We then headed to our hotel for a shower (it was hot) & some sleep. What a great start to a great weekend away!
