Dustin was given a few days off for July 4th & we spontaneously decided to leave town. Our family typically doesn't do much spontaneously. The three of us have never been away together just us. Every time we have time off or money for a vacation, we spend it to fly to one coast or the other to visit family. So, we decided it was time to do something just the three of us. We packed our bags & headed to Atlanta, GA.
We chose Atlanta because it isn't far & is easy since it was last minute. Plus, Josiah has always wanted to go to a Braves Game. We drove to Atlanta Friday afternoon & headed straight for their Friday night game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Turner Field is such a beautiful baseball field. Josiah was thrilled!
This was Josiah's 1st Braves game, but his third professional baseball game.
As with every other sporting event we go to, Josiah had to get his pizza. He really liked going to the Braves game, because they do the Indian War Cry & the chop. He was doing the chop & singing the war cry for the rest of the night & most of the weekend. So, we bought him his very own Braves tomahawk.
As with every game Josiah attends, his team, the Braves won!
When the game was over, we say back & enjoyed the beautiful firework show.
Josiah loves fireworks. He sat on the edge of his seat & watched.
After most people had left the stadium we walked around watching Josiah chop & cry with his new tomahawk. We then headed to our hotel for a shower (it was hot) & some sleep. What a great start to a great weekend away!
