Youth Camp Day One!


It's that time of summer again.  Our little man is headed off to youth camp for his 2nd year!


Josiah & these kiddos were quite excited this morning when we dropped them off at church.


This is Josiah's 2nd year going with his best friends from church, Aaron, Luke & Jude!  He is going to miss his very best friend, Ethan, though.  Ethan is going to miss him, too!


We prayed over all of the children & then sent them on the bus to camp.  Bye, buddy!


When Josiah arrived at camp, he was put in Boys Cabin 7.

Josiah was so excited to be bunking with his best friends from church.


I am so thankful for friends at camp & social media.  I would never have any pictures if it weren't for them.  It helps a mom's heart to see her baby at camp.


I heard that the evening service was wonderful.  Jonathan sent us a text of Josiah worshiping.  Absolutely amazing!  We are so proud of our little man.

Apparently, he had a great day & made it through Youth Camp Day One!

Focus on What's Right!

Dustin preached in Cultivate today at church.  As always, he did an amazing job, but today's message really stuck with me.  Let me tell you a little about it.


Dustin spoke from Philippians 4:4-8
"Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-- think about such things."

Dustin then challenged us with the following, "It's right to focus on what's right."  He encouraged us to make a "right list" to count our blessings.  Even when we think nothing is going right, we still have breath in our lungs.  God is good!  Let's focus on His goodness!

Ninja Warrior Crazy!

American Ninja Warrior is Josiah & Ethan's favorite TV show.  They absolutely love it!


This morning, we came into Josiah's room to find he had built an American Ninja Warrior course out of his Legos.


It such a cool course.  He worked very hard on it.


So, Dustin put pictures of it on Twitter & the hosts of the show retweeted it to thousands of people.  Josiah was so excited!  He kept saying, "I'm famous! I'm famous!"  Hahaha!


Ethan felt the need to then build an American Ninja Warrior course out of his Duplos.  He completed it all by himself without any help & then had his police officer run the course.
These boys are Ninja Warrior crazy!

We had a play date today with our good friends, Lizzie & Ben!


They came over to our house for several hours to play & have some lunch together.  We always love spending time with our friends at a play date.

Happy Father's Day!


Happy Father's Day 2015!


Our day started off very well.  I woke Dustin up in the bed by bringing his little wrestlers in with me to wake him up.  They loved that.  Then, we went downstairs to open cards & his present.


Dustin loved the cards we made for him!


The he opened his gift from the boys & loved it!


I took & framed pictures of the boys doing their favorite things, while telling Dad they love him.  The 1st picture is of them playing Wii together.  The 2nd is of Ethan & his red cars in the shape of a "heart."  The 3rd is of Josiah & his Legos spelling out the word "Dad."

Dustin loved his gift & his cards!


After present time, we had breakfast together.  Dustin chose coffee cake, fried eggs & bacon.


We then went to church to spend time with our Heavenly Father.
After church, we took Dustin to Wasabi for lunch.


Our boys always enjoy lunch at Wasabi...especially when there's fire involved.


After lunch, we came home & baked Dustin a cake.


The boys helped mix the batter & taste tested the batter once it was ready.


The cake was delicious!!!


We then went to see "Inside Out" at the movies.  We always enjoy a good movie.


After FaceTime with Granddaddy & a phone call to Papa, we had fun playing with Lego Duplos the rest of the night!  What a fun day!
