Just What Our Family Needed!

Dustin was invited to preach today at Seymour Church of God while their pastor was on a Mission's Trip to Mexico.  The service went really well & Dustin did an amazing job.  After church, the Lubienski family had us over for lunch & hang out time.  They served us steak, baked potatoes, salad, corn on the cob, & dessert.  It was delicious!

After lunch, we all went to their backyard to go swimming in their pool.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day for swimming.

Today was just what the doctor ordered.  A wonderful day at church, wonderful food, & wonderful fellowship with friends.  This was just what our family needed!

Boy Toys!

Kody & Ken Miller invited Dustin out for a day of shooting with them.

NBA Finals!

Tonight was the final game of the NBA season & we were excited to watch!

We put Ethan to bed at his normal time & surprised Josiah by allowing him to stay up late & watch the game.  Even though the game didn't end how we wanted it to, we had a wonderful time watching it.  It was a really good, close game...which is always my preference.

What fun we had watching the NBA finals!

Happy Father's Day 2016!

Today we had the honor & pleasure of celebrating Dustin as the father of these two amazing boys!  Dustin is such a wonderful father to them & husband to me.

The boys & I jumped into the bed together to wake Dustin up.

Then, we headed downstairs for cards & breakfast.  Ethan shared his homemade card first!

Josiah shared his homemade card second!

I shared my homemade card third!  These three guys are so special!

We served Dustin with coffee cake, scrambled eggs, bacon, & his fruit bowl for breakfast!

We then went to church as a family!

After church, we went to Texas Roadhouse for a Father's Day lunch!

One thing that was really special about today is that we got to "see" each of our fathers/grandfathers.  Our family had FaceTime with them today.  We miss them all so much!

This afternoon, the guys wanted to watch "Big Hero 6" together.

After the movie, we enjoyed some Father's Day cake & ice cream!

It's was really nice outside, so we enjoyed our dessert outside!

After dinner, we went outside to play together as a family.  The big guys played basketball

& Ethan spent his time shooting me with a Nerf gun!  Haha!

We had such a wonderful family day together.  We are so blessed to have Dustin in our lives.  We love him so much & can't imagine life without him.  It was also special to talk to our Dads today.  We miss them so much & wish we could be with them on this special day.

Father's Day Gift!

Dustin got an unexpected, early Father's Day Gift today!

Chris sent Dustin an Edible Arrangement of fruit & chocolate inside a golf ball bowl.  How incredibly thoughtful & delicious!  We all enjoyed Dustin's Father's Day gift!

CQ16 Family Night!

Tonight was Concord Quest 2016 Family Night!

The whole family got to come out tonight & see what all our kids have been learning about this week at their VBS.  We sat with the Landry family during service.

CQ had 2,040 kids in attendance this week & had 124 salvations!  God is good!

The music & play were fantastic!  This church goes all out for their VBS.

These boys had such a fun week together!

CQ16 Day Five!

Today was CQ16 Day Five!  The last day!

The kids have had such a fun time this week.  They have listened to wonderful stories from the Bible, played outside every day, made new friends, & made wonderful crafts.  On Tuesday, they made tie-dyed socks & today was tie-dyed sock day.  They were so excited to get to wear these!  What a wonderful week to learn more about Jesus & our friends at Concord Quest!

Today was CQ16 Day Three!

They had another great day learning about & worshiping Jesus!

The theme of Concord Quest this week is "The Waymaker!"  They are using video games to communicate the message if John 14:6.  The boys were happy to pose inside a video game.

After CQ, Josiah went home with Jackson & Landon.  While they were there playing, Maria taught them all about Flag Day & let them each make a pan of flag brownies.  They each mixed their own batter & decorated their own flag.  They were YUMMY!  What a great way to end a fun day!
