Happy New Year's Eve!

Happy New Year's Eve!

The Hurst family invited us over to their new house to spend New Year's Eve together!

They also invited the Haward family.  We love these two families so much!

It's also a blessing that our kids all love each other as well.

Towards the end of the night, they surprised Dustin with a birthday cake.

Dustin's birthday is New Year's Day, so it often gets overlooked.  What sweet friends!

We had such a great time with our friends ringing in the New Year.
Happy New Year's Eve!

New Bikes!

The weather finally cooperated today so we could take the boys out on their new bikes,

They were both so brave.  These bikes are bigger than their last ones &

yet they both just hopped right on & went riding.

I'm so proud of these braves boys & how well they did.

We then popped the confetti poppers that they got in their stockings.  What a fun day playing outside & the boys riding their new bikes!

On Your Mark...Get Set...Wait!

Dustin spoke in Cultivate again today.  He spoke this morning from Luke 2 & titled the sermon, "On Your Mark...Get Set...Wait!"

So often in our lives, we prepare for something big & exciting & then have to wait for it.  That can be so hard to do when we're ready & motivated in the beginning.

Dustin encouraged us in the fact that "Waiting on God produces trust in God!"
He then challenged us to pray an honest prayer.  I am so thankful we CAN trust in God & that we can come boldly before His throne.

Boys & Their Toys!

It's Sunday morning & Granddaddy, Grandma, & Chris are gone.  It's so sad to see them leave, but it just makes us even more excited to see them again.

After staying up until almost 3am putting this police station together, it is complete & Mommy is tired.  It is super cool, though, & I couldn't wait to show Ethan.

As soon as he woke up this morning, he asked me about his police station.  I was happy to tell him that it was put together & ready for him in the playroom.

He was so excited to play with it!  He stayed here all morning long.

Josiah was excited to get going on one of his new Lego sets.

He finished it this afternoon & wanted to show off.  Good job, buddy!
What a fun day for these boys & their toys!

Day after Christmas Fun!

It's the day after Christmas & we decided to get out & have some fun!

We started the day by going to IHOP together for breakfast.  We then went to the movie theater to see "Alvin & the Chipmunks 4."  The kids really enjoyed it.

Alvin, Simon, & Theodore had to come, too!  We all had a good time watching the movie with our little guys!

I even ran into some crazy animals while we were there.

We had a wonderful dinner that Grandma worked hard making for us.

After dinner, we celebrated my January boys birthdays a little early while Granddaddy, Grandma, & Chris were here.  We sang "Happy Birthday" to Ethan & to Dustin & gave them the dessert of their choosing with candles on top.

They both enjoyed getting the special attention.

After dessert, Chris gave Ethan his birthday presents since he won't be here.

Ethan loved everything he got & was very thankful!

Here are the presents Chris gave Ethan for his birthday.

Granddaddy & Grandma then gave Ethan his birthday present.

I think you can tell from the look on his face that he is totally excited about it.

He was very thankful for the massive Playmobil Police Station they gave him.

Granddaddy & Grandma didn't want to leave Josiah out, so they gave him an Imaginext set!

He loved & appreciated the gift so much!

After present time, Hulk came to visit our house.

I just hope we make it & he doesn't SMASH us!  Haha!
I think we all enjoyed having day after Christmas fun!
