Papa & Meme Came for a Visit!

Papa Larry & Meme Janet (Dustin's parents) came for a visit this week.  We haven't seen them since Ethan's baby dedication when he was almost 3 months old.

The boys were both excited to see them & excited to get presents!  They gave Ethan a Green Lantern figure & motorcycle.  They also gave him a car that plays music!  I thought it was funny that we didn't mind the music, but it eventually got on Papa & Meme's nerves.

They gave Josiah a Green Lantern figure that talks & a Bizarro Superman figure & safe.

Meme enjoyed spending some quality time with her new grandson.  He loves to be read to.

Josiah's school was out on Friday, so he got to stay at home with all of us.  Papa & Meme took him on an outing.  They went to lunch at the mall & had pizza.  Then they went to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2!"  Josiah was so excited!

That night, they took us all out to dinner at O'Charley's to celebrate my upcoming birthday.

They even gave me a card & some money.  How thoughtful!  Thanks, guys!

On Saturday, the guys were blessed with some free tickets to the TN Vols Football game.  Ken Miller, a friend of ours, gave the guys some tickets to enjoy.

There was even an extra ticket for Josiah to invite his friend, Zack.  They were a little excited!

We really enjoyed our time with Papa & Meme.  The boys were very sad to see them leave today, but we are so happy Papa & Meme  came for a visit!

Boys Weekend!

I went to a Ladies Retreat this weekend in Kingsport, TN.  It was the first time I've been away overnight since Ethan has been born.  It was good for me & for the boys to be together.  Dustin said they had a wonderful weekend with no issues.  Ethan didn't even cry for Mommy.

Every bedtime & morning I was gone, Dustin sent a picture of my boys to me.

This precious picture is on their way home from church Sunday morning!  I love that my sweet husband was so thoughtful to send me pictures!  They made being away much easier!

I had an amazing weekend at the retreat.  It was so refreshing to spend time with other women worshiping & hearing from God.  This is a weekend I will remember forever!

I somehow only took one picture from the entire weekend & it is a picture of the first Blizzard from Dairy Queen that I've had in years!  It was super yummy!

I'm so thankful my guys had a wonderful boys weekend!

Outside!

Ethan LOVES to be outside!  It's his favorite place to be.  Tonight, we all came outside to play as a family & Ethan played with sidewalk chalk.  By the time we went inside, he was covered in chalk.  Too cute!  I love that he loves to be outside!

Sleepover!

Josiah went home from school yesterday with his friends, Luke & Aaron, for a sleepover.  They go to school & church with us.  Their Dad, Jonathan is also on staff at the church.

At dinner time, they each had a pizza kit to make their own pizza.  Josiah loves pizza!

After they made their pizzas, they went & got ready for bed.  Then they had dinner, popcorn & lots of other snacks while they watched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs!"

After the movie & treats, the boys headed upstairs to sleep on the floor with their pillow pets.

This afternoon, they all went to the park for a picnic & fun at the splash pad.

Josiah had a great time at the sleepover!
