Happy Early Birthday, Josiah!

Since we won't be able to all be together, Granddaddy, Grandma & Chris decided we should celebrate Josiah's birthday early.

As you can tell, Josiah was very surprised & excited about this turn of events!

We celebrated by having dinner at Olive Garden (his favorite) & they even brought him a birthday dessert, with a lit candle & sang "Happy Birthday" to him.  After dinner, we went back to their house & had present time.

Josiah was in heaven.  He got lots of Lego Minifigures &

a Lego set from Chris.

He got lots of clothes & a Lego set from Granddaddy & Grandma!

They even gave Ethan a present so he wouldn't feel left out.

Here are the gifts Granddaddy & Grandma gave Josiah.

Here are the gifts Uncle Chris gave Josiah.  He's spoiled & so loved!

Josiah's Thanksgiving Essay!

Josiah wrote a Thanksgiving Essay at school this week.  His assignment was to read it to his family on Thanksgiving.  He wanted to read it at Tyler's house, but became a little nervous.

So, we ended our night at Granddaddy & Grandma's house listening to his essay.

His audience was Chris, Grandma, Granddaddy, Ethan, Dad & Mom.  We really enjoyed Josiah's Thanksgiving Essay!

"Thanksgiving reminds me of all the things I'm thankful for.  I appreciate my family, my country, and this food.  I'm especially thankful for my family because I am able to drive safely to my grandparents house for Thanksgiving.  I'm thankful for my cousins Madison and Walker.  I'm thankful for my Granddaddy, Grandma, Uncle Chris, and all my uncles, aunts and cousins.  I appreciate my country because I love that we have freedom.  I'm thankful that we have no king.  I'm thankful for the people that serve in the army.  And I'm thankful for the pilgrims that founded our country.  Finally, I'm grateful for this food because I love the cranberry sauce, the broccoli casserole, the turkey, and the potatoes (Probably the best foods I've ever tasted).  As I enjoy this holiday season, I realize that I have many reasons to be thankful.  My family, my country, and this food are very important to me."  --Josiah Lee

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our family traveled to NC to spend Thanksgiving with Granddaddy, Grandma, Uncle Chris & the Moody Family!  It's been a whole year since we've been.

Uncle Chris enjoyed spending some time with Ethan!

Josiah LOVED spending time with his cousins.

Josiah & Walker are two peas in a pod.  They are so much alike & they love each other so much.  They both look forward to Thanksgiving all year long so they can play together.

And they pick up right where they left off.

My cousin, Tyler, hosted us again this year.  It was so nice to see all of the family again.

The boys loved playing.  I didn't think they'd ever want to leave.

We all loved it so very much!

Especially these guys!  We can't wait to see you all next year!
Happy Thanksgiving!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

We decided to decorate for Christmas tonight!

The boys helped us with the tree every step of the way.

They really loved it when Dad put the star on top.
After Josiah's shower, he couldn't wait to decorate his room with all the Nutcrackers Granddaddy & Grandma have given him over the years.

I love the warmth of our house once we've decorated for Christmas.  Also, my favorite color is red, so I love that even more.  I'm so glad we decided to do this early so we can enjoy it even longer this year!  It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Happy 16th Anniversary!

Today, my sweetheart & I celebrated 16 years of wedded bliss!

We began our celebration by going to the movies.

We then went to Olive Garden for dinner,  After dinner, Dustin turned on 80's music (my favorite) in the car & we rocked out all the way home.  We were dancing, singing & laughing so hard.  We didn't want our date night & singing time to end, so we circled our block several times before relieving the babysitter.  Ha!

We had several family members & friends wish us a Happy Anniversary!

After 16 years, I can truly say that I love Dustin more now that I ever have before.  It's not always been easy, but it's been worth it!  I'm so thankful he asked me to be his.
Happy 16th Anniversary!

They Truly Love Each Other!

I was cleaning the house today & on two separate occasions I couldn't see or hear my boys.  So, I walked around the house looking for them until found this...

They were in Ethan's room reading together.  So sweet!
The second time I couldn't find them, I found this...

They were laying on the couch together reading again snuggled up under some covers.  I simply love the way these two love each other.  Yes, they fight like cats & dogs, too, but they truly love each other.

First Real Sleepover!

Josiah had his very first real sleepover at our house this weekend.  He's been to sleepovers before a friends' houses, we've kept some kids overnight for their parents before, but he's never had a real sleepover at our house.

Jude was Josiah's guest for the evening.

We had pizza, chips, cookies & drinks out most of the night for them to munch on.  They played Wii, with toys & watched several movies.

For breakfast, we had homemade chocolate chip waffles, bacon, eggs & fruit.

After breakfast, we all went outside & played together until Jude's family picked him up.  Josiah had an awesome time at his first real sleepover!
