New & Improved Playroom!

So we've had a huge TV laying under our bed for a very long time because we don't have a 2nd living space in our current house, like we did in Seattle.  We have continued to wait to use it until we move to larger house with either a playroom or a 2nd living space.  Well, over the weekend, Dustin & I decided to just go ahead & hang the TV in the playroom (old dining room) where the boys can watch their movies & play their video games.

As soon as the room was reorganized & the TV was up, this is what happened.

They immediately made themselves at home & watched a TV show.

Now they can watch TV, a movie, or play video games on one of their game systems any time they want.  And the grown ups get their TV back in the living room for whatever they want!  Win/Win! So far they have enjoyed their new & improved playroom.

Josiah's 3rd Soccer Game!

Today was Josiah's 3rd Soccer Game of the Season.

They played a team that has kids on it that we dread to play every season.

It was a hard game & Josiah's team lost 5-2.  One of the players on the opposite team could have played all positions all by himself.  He never slowed down & made every goal for his team.  Wow!  Maybe next week will go better.  As for today, we enjoyed getting out of the house & going to Josiah's 3rd Soccer Game!

Family Fun Friday!

We surprised the boys tonight with Family Fun Friday!

We started the fun night by taking them to the movies.

We went to see Hotel Transylvania 2.

They loved the 2nd one just as much as they loved the first.  It's cute!

After the movies we took the boys to Steak & Shake!  It's been years since we've been there.

We all enjoyed the food & fun.  Ethan even enjoyed his very first milkshake!

Then Mommy showed him just how cold her hands get when she holds a milkshake.

He was not happy to say the least!  Haha!  He got over it pretty quickly, though.

A Big Day for Josiah!

It's a Big Day for Josiah!

1.  He pulled his own tooth this morning.

2.  It's School Spirit Day.

3.  It's Accelerated Reader Hat Day.

4.  It's bring a small stuffed animal to school day in his class.  He chose to bring his crazy minion that he bought in Guatemala.

5.  It's also Crazy Sock Day in his class.  He's wearing Seahawks socks & said, "It's not crazy sock day.  It's AWESOME sock day!"  It's also "Seahawks Blue Friday," so he representing his team.

It's a great day in Josiah's world!

Josiah's Lost His 11th Tooth!

Josiah woke me up at 6:15 this morning.  He had a very loose tooth & wanted me to help him with it.  He let me twist & turn his tooth a few times, but wanted to pull it himself.

After a few twists & turns, I told him he could get the rest...& he did!!  He was so excited.  This is his 11th tooth that he's lost & his first tooth that he's pulled himself.  Congrats, Josiah!

3rd Soccer Practice!

It was a beautiful night at Josiah's 3rd Soccer Practice of the season.

Beautiful sky & beautiful boys!  Gods' creations are amazing!

Josiah seemed to have a lot of fun at practice tonight.

He even helped assist a couple of goals.  Way to go, Josiah!  It was a great practice.

Dinner with Our Friends!

We had dinner at the Case house tonight!

We truly love our friends Graham, Lin, Grace, Carter, Patricia, & James.

I love how we can be silly & serious (notice Dustin trying to look serious) with them.

We had a nice dinner together & then Graham made S'mores, which was the highlight of the evening.  The kids got super quiet & just munched away.  Yummy!

Thanks so much for having us over.  We enjoyed every minute!

Today was National Talk Like a Pirate Day & every year Krispy Kreme celebrates by giving a free dozen doughnuts to everyone who dresses up like a pirate.

Our crew is always up to the task.

They gave us four free dozens of Hot & Fresh doughnuts to enjoy.  They were yummy.  We kept two dozen doughnuts for ourselves & gave a dozen to the neighbors that live on both sides of us.  They were excited to get some hot doughnuts as well.

We had a tale of a good time, matey!  Arrrrrrrgh!

Soccer Game #2!

Today was Josiah's 2nd soccer game of the season.

I love that he plays soccer for a league that loves God & prays before every game.

Our whole family loves to go.  Ethan has started cheering for his brother this year.

Josiah's team played hard even though they were missing several players.

I'm sad to say the team lost 4-1.  Next week is another game & we can't wait to go!!

2nd Soccer Practice!

Tonight was Josiah's 2nd soccer practice of the season.

He is improving each season & we are so proud of his effort.

He did a really great job at his 2nd soccer practice!

A Blast!

Ethan & I had some friends over today to play.  Lin, Kerri, & I got our little kids together while our big kids were all at school.

It was fun to have Lin, Patricia, James, Kerri, Ben, & Caleb over to play.

I know Ethan & I had a blast!
