Dustin surprised Josiah at school today for lunch! Josiah was so surprised & excited! They had so much fun having lunch together & I know Josiah can't wait for it again. He loved having lunch with Dad!

Marshmallows Roasting on an Open Fire!
Our house is now decorated for Christmas & it is cold outside! Hmm....now what do you think Dustin is going to want to do??? If you know Dustin, you know he loves a fire in the fireplace. Tonight we lit the fire for the first time this season!
Josiah was front & center when it was time to light the fire. Dustin was so excited for the occasion, he brought home marshmallows, graham crackers & Hershey bars...mmm! Josiah was quickly ready to start roasting his marshmallows.
Ethan had never seen real fire before. He wasn't quite sure what to think at first.
Daddy got some good snuggle time from Ethan while watching the fire!
When Josiah finished his marshmallow, he climbed into Dad's lap, too!
We had so much fun talking, laughing & eating Smores. I love the picture to the left. I was taking a picture of Dustin roasting a marshmallow while Ethan was watching him, but also got Josiah cramming his mouth full of marshmallows. How funny!
You know it's Christmas time when there's Marshmallows Roasting on an Open Fire!

The Book Fair!
Today, Ethan & I went to Josiah's school to join his class at the Book Fair. The Book Fair happens once a year & kids get to go shopping when it's their time. Parents & family are invited to join their child's class at this time to help them shop. Ethan & I surprised Josiah at the Book Fair. Josiah lit up like a Christmas tree. It was so cute. Then, once the surprise was over, he wanted to buy every book in sight. I told him the predetermined amount & then we dwindled his pile down to that amount. He was able to buy 1 Phineas & Ferb chapter book, 2 Lego Star Wars books, 1 Phineas & Ferb Drawing book & 1 Phineas & Ferb Joke Book. He was so excited to be walking away with 5 books. At the end of shopping time Josiah asked if he could cuddle with his brother for a few minutes. Of course Ethan loved this. He loves his big brother so much. They are so sweet together. We all had a great time today at the Book Fair!

It's Christmas Time!
It's Christmas time at the Lee house!
We came home from church & decided to start decorating for Christmas.
This year was pretty special because Josiah decided he wanted to help!
We absolutely loved that & let him put the ornaments anywhere he wanted. We aren't going to move them either because he was so happy with his work. He really did a great job spacing them out. Ethan even crawled over to watch the decorating. I was really nervous about how Ethan would do around the Christmas tree & so far he just crawls over, looks at it & crawls away. Cute!
We began the decorating by watching "Elf" while we worked. Then we put in "Home Alone" to laugh at while we worked. Once the movies were over, we put on some Christmas music. Josiah began rocking out to Michael Buble's Christmas CD. Too funny! He just started dancing around the living room & singing. At one point even Ethan crawled over to see what in the world was going on. I love this picture of the two of them because it looks like they're both pretending to hold a microphone.
Once these two were jamming, Dad had to join in. Then it went from singing to playing pretend instruments. I tell you, this was the highlight of the decorating for me. So fun!
Once we finished the tree, Dustin placed the star on top as a symbol of our remembrance of Jesus' birth.
We decorated the fireplace all pretty & were going to start our first fire of the season, but were too hot from the decorating & dancing!
This year the fireplace is very special because we have FOUR stockings!
We are so thankful to have Ethan as a part of our family this year!
I was also super excited to pull out my new Willow Tree Nativity. I have waited years for a Nativity that I liked & I LOVE this one. I'm so excited it will be out all season!
The last stop on the decorating train was the playroom. Josiah loved that I hung his Santa Bear from the chandelier. He thought that was super funny! I even put his mouse with reindeer ears on his bean bag chair. He just loves it!
We put Josiah's Nutcracker collection on his two bookshelves & I put the Little People Nativity on Ethan's bookshelf. I can see many hours of fun playtime happening in this room. If you can't tell, the Lee family is so excited that it's Christmas time!

Thanksgiving 2012!
This weekend we went to North Carolina for Thanksgiving!
We stayed with Granddaddy & Grandma. This was Ethan's first time there!
They ate up every moment that could with that little monkey!
Chris came home for the weekend as well.
My cousin, Tyler, so graciously hosted the Thanksgiving Feast at her house.
We always have a great time there.
This was Ethan's very first Thanksgiving! Since his surgery, he got an infection & a cold & still wasn't feeling 100%. We left early so he could get some rest.
While we were there, a yummy spread of food was served.
I don't think Josiah cared whether he ate the food or not. He was too excited to see his cousins, Maddie & Walker again. It's been a full year since they saw each other last & they just picked up right where they left off.
It is so sweet to see the way these two love each other. They're good buddies!
It was also nice to see other members of the Moody family. It had been way too long!
Even though Ethan didn't feel good, we still had a neat experience. Ethan said "Dada" & "Bubba" while we were at Thanksgiving dinner. He's said those words before but only once. He just kept repeating them. Dustin & Josiah were thrilled!
As you can see, these kiddos had a blast together!
What a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend we had in North Carolina. We are so thankful for our family, friends & leaders. We are also thankful for the Health, Wholeness & Healing that is coming our way for our sweet family of four!
Happy Thanksgiving 2012!

Happy 14th Anniversary!
Today Dustin & I celebrate our 14th Anniversary. We are on the road all day traveling to North Carolina for Thanksgiving. So, I guess we're having a Happy VANiversary...(get it...we'll be traveling in a van). Anyway, there is no one else I'd rather be sitting in the front of the van with while yelling, "No" & "Stop that" to the 2 beautiful children in the back seat. Listening to "Are we there yet?" is OK knowing that we're still together after 14 years. Life hasn't, nor will it ever be perfect...but it is beautiful still when we're together! I love you Dustin Lee & am thankful for you this Thanksgiving. Thank you for marrying me 14 years ago. Thank you for giving me 3 beautiful children (1 in heaven & 2 on Earth). Thank you for being there for me like no one else whenever I'm down. I can't imagine my life without you & don't want to try. I love you, babe! Happy 14th Anniversary!
