Bedtime is one of my very favorite times of the day. We get both boys ready for bed. Then, we read Ethan's Bible story to him in his room. Once we're finished reading, we go to Josiah's bedroom for prayer time. We all four lay on the bed together & pray. Ethan always lays down in Josiah's arms & Josiah loves the cuddle time with him. They close their eyes as we pray over them together. It is such a sweet time. I love to sit back & watch as they cuddle & pray with us. So sweet! We then put Ethan to bed. We then go to Josiah's room to read his Bible with him. I love that whole process, but I really love Bedtime Prayers!

Ethan's Birthday Purchases!
Papa, Meme & Nan sent Ethan money for his birthday &
today I was able to purchase some items for him.
We got him a potty-training seat for & more play food for his kitchen. He loves them. The potty seat has already peeked his interest & the food is so cute. It has a bowl of Macaroni & Cheese that looks so real. There's also a bowl of cheerios in milk that also looks real. Ethan loves his new stuff. Thanks so much for the money for Ethan's Birthday Purchases!

Snow Fun!
We sent Josiah to school today like any other day. They weren't predicting much snow, so we didn't think anything about it. Then, around 9:45am, it began snowing. It came down quick, thick & it was cold enough to stick. (Ha...that rhymed)! Then, school closed early.
Josiah was thrilled to get out early & play in the snow with his brother!
Ethan LOVED the snow. Instead of walking in it, he kind of slid his feet in it.
Josiah & Dustin enjoyed quite a few snowball fights!
Dustin snuck a few kisses from Ethan while he was super happy & excited!
Josiah didn't care that it was cold, he wanted to make snow angels!
Ethan just wanted to push his car around the yard.
Soon after we got outside, all the neighborhood kids came to join in on the fun!
We love that we got one more day of snow fun!

100th Day of School!
Today was Josiah's 100th Day of 2nd Grade!
His class decided to celebrate by dressing up like they were 100 years old.
We found out at the last minute, so we had to improvise with what we had at the house. He was so excited! You can't tell in the picture, but I had even whitened his hair. So funny!
Happy 100th day of School!

Date Night!
Since Granddaddy & Grandma are here, Dustin & I decided to sneak away for a date night!
First, we went to see "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" at the movie theater. It was great!
After the movie, we went to The Cheesecake Factory & bought dinner & cake...not cheesecake! Lol! We had a wonderful time on our much needed Date Night!
Playing with Granddaddy & Grandma!
Today was kind of a lazy day around the house!
Ethan & Grandma decided to play Sudoku on her iPad &
Josiah & Granddaddy played Wipeout on Wii.
They sure did have a fun time playing with Granddaddy & Grandma!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ethan!
Today is Ethan's 2nd Birthday!
We began the morning by walking into his room & singing "Happy Birthday!" He loved that!
Then we had one of his favorite breakfasts: bacon, eggs, toast & strawberries! Yum!
We all met at Red Robin after church for a yummy birthday lunch.
Ethan was so excited when they brought him an ice cream sundae.
He wasn't so excited when they started singing to him. He just turned to me &
stared the entire song. After they finished, he clapped & cheered. Funny kid!
I wanted to take some nice 2 year old pictures, but it was very bright...hence the squinting.
I still think they're cute...even with the squinting.
I love my sweet family of four!
These three men have made my life so wonderful!
I'm so thankful my parents were here to celebrate Ethan's special day.
It was then time for Ethan's birthday party.
Of course, it was a Mickey Mouse party. So cute!
Ethan loves Mickey Mouse & I couldn't wait for him to see the decorations
& the presents!
When we walked him in, he was so excited!
He kept screaming, "Me Mow" (for Mickey Mouse)!
He loved that everyone stopped to sing for him & that he had candles on his cupcake.
This year, he knew just what to do with those candles.
He got one out & then the second one. Good job!
I think he was so proud of himself!
He liked the cupcake...especially the red icing.
We all had a great time eating cupcakes, ice cream & drinking water & coffee.
Ethan loved every minute of it & got cupcake all over his face. So sweet!
Then, it was present time. We started with Uncle Chris' photo book & microphone.
Then, we moved to Granddaddy & Grandma's presents. They gave him a musical card, PJs,
a Mickey Mouse car, Mickey Mouse slippers AND.....
a picnic table for the yard. This table is awesome! It even matches his slide & sand table!
Josiah then gave him his card. He wrote a very special message inside & Ethan loved it!
We then gave him several presents...one of which was a dog that he just had to cuddle.
The BIG present was a kitchen set. He always likes to pretend to cook while I'm cooking.
We hadn't even told Josiah about this present & I think he was as excited as Ethan.
Here are the cards & gifts we gave Ethan. We gave Ethan the kitchen, stocked with food, pots, pans & silverware. We also gave him a stuffed dog to go with his kitchen since it has a place for dog food & water. We also gave him a Farmer's Market color sorting fruit & vegetable set. This way, he can learn while playing with his kitchen. We also gave him a multi-colored, learning flashlight since they play with flashlights every night.
After Ethan went down for a nap, Granddaddy & Grandma gave
Josiah a few toys so he wouldn't feel left out. So sweet!
He was excited to see more toys & a video game accessory.
Here are the gifts they gave Josiah for his brother's birthday!
At dinner, we had Ethan's favorite...pizza & chips!
After dinner, we played with all of his new toys while watching the Seahawks play football.
Ethan was happy that the Seahawks won their Conference Championship on his birthday!
After all of the excitement, it was time for Ethan's last & most important gift.
His new Bible!
He absolutely loved reading his first Bible this past year, but from the look
on his face, I kind of think he's going to enjoy this Bible even more!
Just as we do every year, we both wrote messages to Ethan in the back
of his Bible. Dustin began by reading his message to Ethan.
Next, I took a turn & read my message to Ethan.
We ended the night by reading the first story in Ethan's new Bible together. He loved it!
We love this sweet baby so much & can't imagine our family without him!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Ethan!
