Fun at the School Playgrounds!

After running a few errands this morning, we decided to stop off at the school playgrounds to have a little fun with our little men.

It was a gorgeous day, so we tried to enjoy every inch of two of their playgrounds!

Memorial Day Cookout!

Today is Memorial Day...the day we set aside to remember the people who died while serving our country in the armed forces.  We are so thankful for their sacrifice & the sacrifice of their families.  The Hawards had our family, their parents, & the Speed family over to their house for dinner.

These friends were so excited about getting together again!

As you can tell, we all had a crazy good time at the Memorial Day cookout!

We had the Haward kids over today for some hang out time!

Ethan & Naomi are only a year apart & enjoy playing together!

Luke (11), Josiah (10), & Aaron (9) are like stair-steps in their ages.

The two younger ones enjoyed playing with toys & watching movies together.

The three older ones enjoyed playing soccer & video games!

They all enjoyed having sandwiches & chips together for lunch!

After lunch we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather outside!  These two took turns driving each other up & down the street in Ethan's red jeep!  So cute!

Dustin went outside with the kids & played some softball with them.

After playing hard in the yard, we came inside to cool off with some popsicles.

We all had a great time hanging out with the Haward kids!

Josiah is so excited about summer & can't wait to hang out with friends!

Jackson is Josiah's first friend to come over this summer.  These two go to school together, but haven't had much time to hang out this year since they're in different classes.  They had such a great time.  They really enjoyed playing video games in the playroom.

They also played lots of soccer in the back yard!

The highlight of the day was jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler going underneath.  You wouldn't think this would be too exciting, but they had a blast!

First Day of Summer Break!

It's the first day of summer break & these guys couldn't be happier!

They spent most of the morning sitting after breakfast talking football trivia & looking through Josiah's awesome football book!

After that, they had Nerf Gun Wars & Super Hero fighting!  It was so fun to watch.  They were in boy heaven...all three of them!  Haha!

Josiah just enjoyed staying in his pajamas all day, but Ethan knew he needed to get dressed, so he wore his Seahawks uniform.  In the evening, they begged to have dinner & movie night in the living room again.  So, we rented "The Peanuts Movie" since we have several free Redbox codes.  It was much cuter than any of us expected!

More Last Day of School Fun!

After going to Chuck E. Cheese, we pulled up to our house & Josiah saw his Congratulations sign & balloons on the porch all in Blue Grass colors!  "Congratulations 5th Grader!"

We are so proud of his report card.  He got straight A's in all Academic areas this year!!!

(E stands for Excellent, which is the highest you can get in work habits & yes, he was a little talkative in Music during the 2nd quarter.  The apple doesn't fall far. Haha.)

For dinner, we rented a Redbox DVD & had dinner & a movie in the living room!

For a celebration dessert, we had Klondike bars!  Yummy!

The movie Josiah picked to rent was "Alvin & the Chipmunks 4!"

Ethan's toy friends had to come along to movie night & watch, too!  Haha!

After the movie was over, the guys played a little indoor football.
What a great night to have more last day of school fun!

School's Out Celebration!

School is out for Summer!!

The big kids in the picture just got out for summer vacation.  They had a half day of school today, so we decided to celebrate over lunch at Chuck E Cheese.  Luke will be going into the 6th Grade, Josiah will be going to 5th Grade, & Aaron will be going to 4th Grade.  We are so proud of their accomplishments!!

Dustin & I love the Haward family & look for every opportunity to get together with them.

Joscelyn & I were on the phone talking the other day & decided to make the kids' last day special by treating them to lunch together & games at Chuck E. Cheese!

It also gives the parents an opportunity to hang out together while the kids are having fun & are safely contained.  So, it's a Win/Win!

Ethan is still a little too small to handle some of the games by himself, so I got to hang out with him most of the time we were there.  He's my little buddy!

To end our time together on a fun note, we walked next door to the pet store to love on some animals.  Ethan is such an animal lover.  He absolutely loved these puppies.
