Our Little Racer!

Ethan has been trying to learn how to play Wii recently.  He's really been enjoying Mario Kart.  Today he got 1st place for the very first time!  That's our little racer!

Little Grocery Shopper!

One of our new local grocery stores has shopping carts for little kids.

Ethan was all over this.  He was so excited & wanted to fit as much as he could into his cart.  He was a good little grocery shopper!

Lunch with Josiah!

Our family went to Josiah's school today to eat lunch with him.

It is the first time EVER that Ethan has been allowed to be at one of Josiah's schools for lunch.  Josiah's old school wouldn't allow siblings to come in the building during the school day.

He really enjoyed getting to be like his big brother & have lunch at school!  We all enjoyed having lunch with Josiah!

Princeton Church's Missions Banquet!

Our friends, Matt & Karen Cornett are the pastors at Princeton Church.  They invited us to come & be one of the speakers at their Missions Banquet this year.  Dustin was able to inform the church members about our church re-plant & they were all very excited to hear about what our family is doing in the triangle area.

It was a wonderful night getting to hear from people who are responding to the call to spread the gospel to the lost & hurting.  We had a great time at the Princeton Church's Missions Banquet.

Preschool Storytime!

I took Ethan to the Chapel Hill library today for Preschool Storytime.

We enjoyed it very much!  I've always wanted to take him to a library storytime!

This is by far the coolest library I've ever been to.  The children's section is gorgeous!

Ethan really liked it, too...especially the trees.  He didn't want to leave.  We both can't wait until next week for Preschool Storytime!

We celebrated Labor Day tonight with my parents.  It is so nice to live so close to them now.

First Day of School Dinner!

Josiah had a good first day of school in a new city today.  After school was over, we told him we'd take him to dinner anywhere he'd want to go.  He chose to go to Longhorn Steakhouse.

Haha...he's never even been to Longhorn Steakhouse before, but said the commercials looked good.  We also didn't know that there wasn't one close by when we told him we'd take him there. So we drove 40 minutes to take him to dinner.

It was delicious!  Everyone enjoyed Josiah's First Day of School Dinner!

First Day of 5th Grade...again!

Today was Josiah's first day of school at Carrboro Elementary School!

Yes...he just started the 5th in Knoxville a few weeks ago before we moved to NC.  It just so happens that we moved here before school even started.  So, he started the 5th grade on the first day, twice!

Josiah said his first day at his new school went really well!  We are so proud of how Josiah has handled this transition.  He has had such a positive attitude.  Our prayer is that God mightily used him in his new school this year to show the love of Jesus to his peers.

W.E. Family Movie Night!

Tonight was Family Movie Night at church.

Not only was it the first movie night on our first day at our new church, but it was Ethan's very first time eating popcorn.  He was so excited & felt so big.  We waited a while with both boys because a friend of mine's son had a horrible accident with popcorn because he was too young to eat it.  He ended up having to have surgery on his lung to remove the popcorn.  I spoke with my pediatrician about it & he said he never recommends popcorn for kids under 4.  I've held off as long as I could with Ethan.  The movie they showed was "Miracles from Heaven."  This was a wonderful movie & our whole family enjoyed it.  We had a great time at West End's Family Movie Night!

First Sunday at West End Fellowship!

Today was our first Sunday as the Pastors of West End Fellowship!

Dustin spoke a very exciting, visionary message to the church.

At the end of service, he prayed over all the children who will be attending school this year since tomorrow is the first day of public school in town.

It was such a beautiful Sunday from beginning to end.  We are so thankful God has placed us here on this new journey.  We can't wait to see what He is going to do.
