Josiah's Last Day of Preschool!

Today was Josiah's last day of preschool!

As soon as we walked in the door, you could just feel the excitement in the air.

The children just kept talking about it being the last day as they made 4th of July necklaces.

Josiah even took a minute to pose for a picture with Mom.

Of course he didn't mind posing for a picture with Bella. She's his "girlfriend."

After having cookies, ice cream with all the toppings you could imagine & tons of fun, he said goodbye to Teacher Nicky, Teacher Julea & Teacher Bonnie.

As he left the classroom, the teachers gave each student a picture frame & a sand pail filled with candy. I don't know if he was more excited to get treats or to see Dad & Mom coming to pick him up together. That hasn't happened since the first day of preschool!

To celebrate, we took Josiah to McDonalds after preschool. Once we arrived, we handed Josiah his "congratulations present." He kind of stared at this white envelope in confusion. He's never gotten a present in an envelope before.

This is what he found when he opened the envelope. A ticket for opening day of "Toy Story 3" in 3-D.

Since Josiah is already reading, we just kind of let him read the homemade ticket for himself. As he read the "3" in Toy Story 3, he had it figured out.

He then lifted his ticket & went berserk. He was SOOOO excited!

After the initial excitement subsided, we began to eat our lunch. About a minute after we started, our friends Lisa & Joshua came in. Joshua is in Josiah's preschool class & his mom brought him to celebrate as well. How funny! So, we all sat together & had a nice chat while the boys went crazy at the Play-place.

Here is a picture of all the goodies Josiah received on his last day of Preschool!

Josiah Finished his 1st Year of Preschool!

Today was Josiah's last day of preschool for the year.

How is it possible that my baby has finished his first year of preschool?!?!

It seems like yesterday when we stood in front of our house & took these pictures!

In the course of 10 months, Josiah has changed so much & learned so much!

We are so proud of the little man you are becoming, Josiah! We love you with all of our hearts & can't wait to see what your 2nd year of preschool will hold!

We just can't believe Josiah finished his 1st year of Preschool!

End of Preschool Family Picnic!

Today, Josiah's preschool celebrated the end of the school year with a family picnic at the beach. Josiah was thrilled! He loves his preschool friends & he loves the beach. What a great combination!

We sat down with Paul's family to eat our picnic lunches first.

After we got a little food in Josiah, we finally relieved him of his begging & let him run down to the water with his friends. They all had the best time playing in the sand, throwing rocks & playing with caterpillars.

As we were playing, Teacher Nicky arrived & the kids went crazy.

Before we left for the day, the kids made their way to the beach playground & had a blast.

Here is Josiah being the captain of the pirate ship & making others beg for their lives before he made them walk the plank. HA! These kids were laughing so hard & trust me...they took turns & made Josiah suffer the same fate! HA!

This picture is my favorite of the day. I just love Bella. Josiah does, too. He says she is his girlfriend. Bella is the sweetest little girl & is so curious. She just sat in the sand for the longest time pouring sand from one shoe to the other. Oh & by the way, she has flames on her shoes because she says they help her fun faster. Ha! She is too precious!

What a great day at the end of Preschool Family Picnic!

Memorial Day BBQ!

Today, Holy Seed Community Church had a Memorial Day BBQ. We had such a good time sitting around the table talking, laughing & solving all of the world's problems. The children had a great time together, too. After chowing down, the boys went downstairs to Kid's Church & sat in silence as they watched a Veggie Tales video. I thought it was a priceless moment to see them all lined up in a row watching. How funny! What a great day for a Memorial Day BBQ!

Happy Birthday, Grady!

Today is Grady's 5th Birthday. Grady invited me & Josiah to have lunch with him at McDonalds.

He even brought Mrs. Field's cookies for dessert. Yum!

After lunch the boys played on the playground & played a new McDonald's video game.

Grady enjoyed getting some new outdoor toys for his new backyard in Kansas, when they move back this summer.

We are so glad Grady decided to include us on his special day. We know we only have six weeks left with the Fox family, before they move, but we're going to enjoy them while we can.

Happy Birthday, Grady!

Happy Birthday, Reilley!

Today was Reilley's 4th Birthday Party!

Reilley is a precious little girl in Josiah's preschool class. We went to her birthday party today & a few other preschool friends were there, too.

Josiah really enjoyed being at Reilley's house. She gave him the best goodie bag when we were leaving. Look how cute they are together. They really do love either other.

Happy Birthday, Reilley!

A Day at the Beach!

Today was such a GORGEOUS day! Dustin had to work late tonight, so Josiah & I ran to the beach, down the street, for some play time.

Josiah ran straight for the water & grabbed some rocks. He LOVES to throw rocks in the water. He even splashed around a little.

After some rock throwing, Josiah made some friends & went to play with them on the playground.

We ended our night by doing some people & bird watching with his binoculars.

What a gorgeous day at the beach!

A Great Mother's Day!

Today we celebrated Mother's Day!

Dustin & Josiah told me I could do anything I wanted to. So, I said I wanted to spend the day at University Village in Seattle. It is an outdoor mall that has my favorite stores. The weather was GORGEOUS & the perfect day for this kind of outing. When we arrived we went straight to "Pallino Pastaria" for lunch. Italian...yum!

Here is my wonderful family eating our salads & applesauce at the beginning of the meal.

After lunch, we stopped by "The Confectionary" to get some chocolate treats. Josiah was begging to finish his candy & go play on the playground. So, I did some shopping while the guys were at the playground.

I am so blessed to having such an amazing little boy. I love being his mother & can't wait to love on him for years to come.

We enjoyed the gorgeous warm weather by playing in the fountain.

Daddy had to join in on the fun, too.

We had a wonderful time at University Village. My guys aren't huge shoppers, but were wonderful & never complained once.

When we arrived home I looked through my wonderful cards & great buys from shopping. I got cards from Chris, Dustin, Josiah & Amanda. Thanks for thinking of me on this special day.

Here are the gifts they bought me from one of my favorite stores...Crate & Barrel.

They also bought me a cool journal & Outback gave me two pieces of Chocolate Chocolate Tower Cake for the price of one. YUMALICIOUS!

We ended this perfect day by eating chocolate cake & playing Finding Nemo Memory Match. I had a wonderful day with my two guys! They spoiled me rotten!!!

What a GREAT Mother's Day!

A Cup of Tea for Mom & Me!

"A Cup of Tea for Mom & Me"

Today was the "Mother's Day Tea" at Josiah's preschool. The room was decorated so beautifully.

Each class came out & sang a Mother's Day song. The song was so beautiful I thought it was going to make me cry.

They served all kinds of yummy food. They even put pictures on the table that the kids could color while we ate. We sat with good friends & just had the best time.

Here is Josiah with Teacher Nicky. He just loves her!

The teachers even passed out gifts that each child had made for their moms. They made handprint tile pot holders & wrote funny messages for mom on a heart.

We had such a great time together on this very special occasion. We even drank tea.

I love you, Josiah. I'm so proud to be your Mommy!

Argh!!!!

Some days it's like I'm living with a pirate!

Josiah loves to play pirates. He has 4 pirates swords, a hook hand, a costume, an eye patch, a pirate flag, etc. etc. etc. He loves to dress up like a pirate. He just did today.

Then, the other night, I looked out the window at the guys playing in the back yard. Josiah was on his "pirate ship" having a "sword fight" (sticks) with Dustin. They were having the best time. It seems like everything we do somehow turns into pirate play. Josiah even talks like a pirate half the time. How funny! Argh!!!
