This weekend turned out a little different than we had planned. Last Sunday my Dad (Carla's) had a heart attack. He was supposed to have open heart surgery, so I quickly flew to North Carolina to be with the family. Thankfully, Dad did not have open heart surgery & is doing well. We are so thankful to God for working a miracle in his body.
I left my two guys in Washington State for the weekend. I know it was good for them to have some Father/Son time together.
On Friday, Josiah had Orange Day at Preschool. He said they did orange crafts & had orange snacks. What fun!
On Saturday, the guys had a PJ day & carved Josiah's pumpkin into a Jack-O-Lantern.
They decided on a smiley face & drew it on the pumpkin. Josiah then scooped the gook out & sorted the seeds.
Josiah washed the pumpkin seeds & they roasted them. Yum! Josiah was so excited to see the finished product!
On Sunday, my guys came & picked me up from the airport. They were so happy to see me & I was so happy to see them.
When I walked into the house, I was welcomed with a banner hanging from my guys. They drew pictures for me on my banner.
We all laid down for an afternoon nap before we got up to get dressed for Halloween! So, it was a good weekend for everyone, full of miracles, but it was a different Halloween weekend!
