Today, a special package came in the mail for Josiah. This package had a special note inside. Josiah sat on the couch to read his letter. Very quickly he discovered that this package was from Granddaddy & Grandma Moody.
He reached in the package to discover...toys! First, he found a Spider-man Tag book.
He also found Iron Man/Tony Stark & War Machine action figures.
Wow...great surprises on a random day! Granddaddy & Grandma spoil again!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Our family celebrates Valentine's Day together. We spend the day each year loving on each other. This year, we started the day by giving a few gifts to Josiah.
Josiah is really into Super Hero Squad these days.
So, we surprised him with the new Super Hero Squad DVD & some action figures.
Here are the Super Heroes we gave him.
As you can tell, he was Super excited!
After present time, he wanted to go right down to the playroom & watch his new DVD & play with his new super heroes.
Later in the evening, we Skyped Granddaddy & Grandma who had sent Josiah a Valentine card & money in the mail. He was excited to see that they wanted him to spend his money on super heroes.
After Skyping, we popped in Clifford's Valentine's Day DVD & baked our annual heart shaped pizza for dinner. Josiah loves that tradition.
We sat in the dining room, ate pizza, fruit & salad for dinner while watching the video.
After dinner & a little family game of Mario Kart, we baked chocolate chip cookies & had ice cream. Yum! As we were sitting here together eating dessert, Josiah looked at us & said, "My heart is singing right now!" Oh wow...that kid makes my heart sing. What a precious moment we will never forget.

Josiah is like a fish! This kid absolutely LOVES to swim. So, we registered him for swimming lessons again this session. He is really having a great time!
His class is in the deep end this session & he is doing really well. He can swim under water, on his back, on his front using tall arms, can come up for breaths without stopping & can jump in & swim to the platform without stopping.
We are very happy with his instructor this session as well. He's having a great time swimming & I'm having a great time watching his swimming fun!
Josiah has always had an interest in soccer since he was old enough to walk. Dustin & I thought Josiah would have a good time taking a soccer class.
He has really enjoyed the class so far.
His speed & accuracy with the ball has improved tremendously.
Josiah would do anything to get his feet on that ball. Today he got to corner kick.
Every time we go to soccer he can't wait to play! He loves being a socca playa!
Happy 34th Birthday, Dustin!
We had a great day celebrating Dustin's birthday today. We began by having coffee cake, fried eggs, bacon & oranges for breakfast. Yummy way to start the day!
After breakfast, my guys kicked back on the couch playing some Mario Kart.
While Dustin got ready for the day, Josiah & I baked Dustin a Devil's Food cake.
After lunch, Dustin's parents showed up to celebrate his birthday. We all gathered together in the living room to sing Happy Birthday to him.
Then, we took a few minutes to bless Dustin with presents. Josiah so proudly showed Daddy the card he bought, wrote his name in & the pictures he drew for him.

Dustin also got cards & moolah from his parents & from my parents!
Here I am with the greatest man in the world. Happy Birthday, babe!
Then, it was cake time! Dustin was really enjoying his cake when I came over to tell him he had something on his mouth. I then planted a piece of cake on his mouth. Ha!
Tonight, we went to celebrate at The Keg for dinner. We all got spoiled with amazing steak, salad, bread & dessert.
The Keg gave Dustin a Mocha pie for dessert. What a great ending to a great day!

Today, Dustin's parents came to town for a visit.
Larry & Janet brought Christmas presents with them.
We all had a great time opening presents & beginning to play.
Here are the gifts we received from Papa & Meme. Thanks so much for coming & spoiling us. We love you!
Happy New Year's Eve! We had a great night at home as a family. Dustin & Josiah had fun building his Toy Story 3 LEGO train while I finished unpacking from our trip.
I thank the Lord for this past year & all the great times & lessons learned. I can't wait for 2011. I believe this New Year will bring new blessings. Happy New Year!
