Happy Little Stroller Boy!

Today I went for a walk with Ethan around the neighborhood. I decided to put him in the stroller facing forward instead of using his carseat to click in his stroller, where he faces me.  Saying he loved it would be an understatement!  He just talked, sang & played with his little toy the whole time.  It was really quite sweet.

I loved taking a walk with my happy little stroller boy!

Sitting Up!

I cannot believe it!  Ethan is sitting up...at 4 months old!  He's been able to sit when propped for a few weeks now, but has been very much hunched over & I have had to be sitting right there with my arms out.  Today I propped him & he held his chest & head up & didn't fall over.  What a big boy!  I can't believe Ethan is sitting up!

What a Little Man!

Today was Josiah's dental appointment & he did GREAT!  The dentist was Josiah's scary place to go for 5 years & I had to drag him there & he still wouldn't let them do much.  Today was the 2nd time he's been since we've lived in Knoxville & both times he let them do everything.  Dr. Bo is amazing & is great with kids.  Josiah enjoys playing video games in the lobby & then today he watched "Horton Hears a Who" as they worked.  They even got to do full x-rays today, which they've never been able to do before.  The best part is...No Cavities!  Yahoo!  What a little man!

New Toy!

Ethan is now old enough to use a walker.  He loves it.  He doesn't move anywhere yet, but loves to talk to & play with the bears & toys.  Ethan loves his new toy!

Youth Camp 2012!

Dustin worked Youth Camp this week on Signal Mountain.  It was one of the biggest high school camps in their history...around 600 people!  He was the Campus Pastor for the week.  He produced the evening services & guided the daytime Bible studies.

The services went very well & the students seemed to be genuinely moved.

During the day, the students had Bible studies & then small group discussion time.

They also had team building exercises that reinforced unity in the Body of Christ.

At the end of each evening service, the students were challenged to put their unique thumbprint under the theme name for the night if they had been significantly touched by God.  By the end of the week, a beautiful memento had been created.

Overall, Dustin felt it was an amazing week & quite possibly the best youth camp he's ever worked.  He had a great time at Youth Camp 2012!

Granddaddy & Grandma Came for a Visit!

This week, Granddaddy & Grandma Moody came for a visit!  Josiah was so excited!!!

Ethan on the other hand, is a little more timid at first.  He had to figure out just who these people were.  He let Grandma hold him pretty quick, but he kept his eyes on Granddaddy checking him out.  Too cute!  Pretty quickly, though, he got comfortable & was in love with both of them by the end of the week.

Josiah loves the first night with Granddaddy & Grandma, because he know they always come bringing gifts.  They brought him some pajamas, Clarence & Sue sent an Avengers shirt (which he loves) & then Granddaddy & Grandma gave him two balls.  A glow in the dark football & a Wake Forest basketball.  Josiah was loved them!

The guys enjoyed hanging out together watching movies & playing Mario Kart.  Grandma enjoyed cuddling with her grandsons & getting all their sugar!

Ethan loved for Grandma to push him in the swing they bought before he was born.
He also loved to ride the horsey on Granddaddy's leg.  Too cute!

All good things, must come to an end, though.  Josiah didn't want them to leave.

He got pretty emotional when they said goodbye.  He got lots of love & kisses.

Ethan got love & kisses, too!

We all had such a wonderful week when Granddaddy & Grandma came for a visit!

Josiah's Last Day of Soccer! SCORE!

Today was Josiah's last day of soccer!

We are so proud of all he's learned & the confidence he has gained this season!

Today, Josiah made his 8th & final goal of the season!  He was so proud of himself!

Josiah played really well today & finished strong.  He even had four assists in today's game.  I can't wait to see him in future seasons should he choose to play soccer again, which we think he will.

Ethan has come to really enjoy watching the kids play soccer, too.  He even wore a soccer outfit today to support his big bubba!  At the end of every game, the parents make a tunnel that the kids run through in celebration.  This was one of Josiah's favorite parts, so I thought I'd get a picture of it.

After the games, everyone went inside the YMCA for pool time.  Josiah didn't want to hang in the shallow end, so he left the crowd & headed for the deep end of the pool & was a crazy man.  He had a blast, though.

After swimming, everyone headed to a different room for the pizza party & awards ceremony.  Josiah was presented with a medal for his great skills & sportsmanship.

We are so proud of Josiah for working so hard this season & even more proud of him being a team player.  He not only scored goals, but helped others score goals.  SCORE!

Game Time!

Today the boys wanted to spend some time together playing board games.  So, they went to Josiah's room & played Battleship, The Cat in the Hat I Can Do That & Trouble!  They had the best time...I kept hearing them laugh & have fun.  Ethan even joined them for a little while during his wake time & had fun watching them from his play gym.  I have a feeling this will become a new Friday morning ritual.  Josiah has already been asking me when he can again have more game time!
