Uncle Chris Came for a Visit!

This weekend, Uncle Chris came to Knoxville for a visit!

Josiah was super excited to see his uncle again!

This was the first time Chris has met Ethan, though.  Ethan really checked Chris out & discovered that he loves him!  I was so surprised at how quickly Ethan warmed up!

Uncle Chris always comes bearing gifts.  Josiah got to go first.  Josiah got a movie, 2 Wii games & 2 Mario Brothers t-shirts!

Then, Ethan got his turn later.  He got 4 outfits, a book, a teether & 2 toys!

Josiah & Chris spent most of the weekend playing Wii.  Josiah loves his new games.

Chris also got in some cuddle time with Baby E!

We enjoyed playing games like Trouble & UNO.

Chris played marbles & read a book to Josiah.

We even baked Chris a birthday cake since we'll miss his birthday in July.

Overall we really had a great time!

Then it was time to say goodbye!

We didn't want to see him leave, but we are so glad Uncle Chris came for a visit!

Ethan is Twenty-Two Weeks Old!

Today Ethan is Twenty-Two Weeks Old!

Ranger Kids Firefighters!

Tonight, Josiah's Ranger Kids class had a group of Knoxville firefighters stop by to share a fire safety lesson with the group.  Josiah was really excited about this special event.  He even got to sit inside the fire truck.  While the kids were watching, the firefighters got a call for a real fire & had to leave.  I think the kids thought it was super cool that they got to actually witness a firefighter call.  The firefighters left the church with their sirens on & the children screaming with excitement!  What a great night at Ranger Kids!

Ethan's First Cereal!

Today is the day we decided to start Ethan on rice cereal.  He is showing every sign that he is ready & so we thought we'd give it a try.

At first bite, he wasn't sure what he thought about it.

Then he decided he really liked it!!! We were so thrilled by the way he handled it.  He opened his mouth from the very first bite & even swallowed.  He didn't even try to spit it out or thrush it out of his mouth.  He just ate it.  We were thrilled!

Once we got him used to the idea, Josiah & Dustin wanted to feed him, too.  Josiah was especially thrilled to get to feed his baby brother.  He's waited for that a long time.

Ethan is Five Months Old!

Today Ethan is Five Months Old!

Happy Father's Day!

Today we celebrated Father's Day!  This was Dustin's first Father's Day with 2 boys!

The day began with us waking Dustin up with big HUGE hugs!  We then went downstairs to share our store bought cards with Dustin!

Then, Josiah wanted to share all he had created for Dustin.  He did a portrait of Dustin,

& two different cards for Dustin.  He was very proud of his work!

After the cards were over, we gave Dustin his present.

We surprised Dustin with a framed picture of "Dad's Little Superheroes!"

He couldn't have loved anything more!  He was so surprised!!!

After all the great gifts were shared, we ate a yummy breakfast together.  We had coffee cake, fried eggs, turkey bacon, blackberries & chilled milk!

We then all got ready as a family & headed to church, where we had a nice service!

After church, Dustin chose to go to Wasabi...one of his favorite places to eat!

We had great food & the best company...our sweet boys!

Once we got home, we somehow all congregated in our bedroom & the boys had a wrestling match & tickle fight.  It was so funny.  Then, we just laid there together & listened to Ethan talk to us.  It was one of those moments we'll never forget!

After we got comfy, Josiah & I headed to the kitchen to bake a cake for dessert!

While the cake was baking, the boys played a little Mario Kart, Wii!

Once the cake was done, Dustin was really eager to dive right in...& he did!

We then sat on the floor & civilly had our cake together, then cuddled & watched, "Mr. Popper's Penguins" together as a family!  What a wonderful way to end our day!

Outdoor Movie Night!

Tonight was Floodline's Cookout & Outdoor Movie Night!

We began the fun by munching down on some burgers & hot dogs.  We then all kind of just hung out, played football & rode paddle boats.  Here are my two guys along with Jeremy & Jacob on the paddle boats!

After dark, the movie began.  The teens voted on "Megamind" as their pick!

Everyone seemed to have fun at Floodline's Outdoor Movie Night!

Ethan's First Tooth!

Ethan has been slobbering a lot lately, so we knew a tooth was coming.  Every morning I check his mouth to see if there is anything there & this morning there wasn't.

After a pretty fussy nap time this morning, Ethan woke up with a tooth!

After a few days, his tooth is pushing through even more & he is beginning to let me go in his mouth without a  fight.  We are so excited to finally see Ethan's first tooth!
