Ninja Warrior Crazy!

American Ninja Warrior is Josiah & Ethan's favorite TV show.  They absolutely love it!

This morning, we came into Josiah's room to find he had built an American Ninja Warrior course out of his Legos.

It such a cool course.  He worked very hard on it.

So, Dustin put pictures of it on Twitter & the hosts of the show retweeted it to thousands of people.  Josiah was so excited!  He kept saying, "I'm famous! I'm famous!"  Hahaha!

Ethan felt the need to then build an American Ninja Warrior course out of his Duplos.  He completed it all by himself without any help & then had his police officer run the course.
These boys are Ninja Warrior crazy!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day 2015!

Our day started off very well.  I woke Dustin up in the bed by bringing his little wrestlers in with me to wake him up.  They loved that.  Then, we went downstairs to open cards & his present.

Dustin loved the cards we made for him!

The he opened his gift from the boys & loved it!

I took & framed pictures of the boys doing their favorite things, while telling Dad they love him.  The 1st picture is of them playing Wii together.  The 2nd is of Ethan & his red cars in the shape of a "heart."  The 3rd is of Josiah & his Legos spelling out the word "Dad."

"Wii Dad"

Dustin loved his gift & his cards!

After present time, we had breakfast together.  Dustin chose coffee cake, fried eggs & bacon.

We then went to church to spend time with our Heavenly Father.
After church, we took Dustin to Wasabi for lunch.

Our boys always enjoy lunch at Wasabi...especially when there's fire involved.

After lunch, we came home & baked Dustin a cake.

The boys helped mix the batter & taste tested the batter once it was ready.

The cake was delicious!!!

We then went to see "Inside Out" at the movies.  We always enjoy a good movie.

After FaceTime with Granddaddy & a phone call to Papa, we had fun playing with Lego Duplos the rest of the night!  What a fun day!

To all the special father's in our lives...Happy Father's Day!

Thank You!

My brother, Chris, is the greatest!  He wanted Josiah to have something to do & keep him positive through his oral surgery experience & recovery.

So, he sent him a present that he's wanted for a while!

He also sent the patient's little brother a present to help him through it, too!

Uncle Chris sent Josiah "Lego City Police Station!"
He sent Ethan "Miles from Tomorrowland" action figures!

These boys couldn't be happier.  They have played with their toys all day long.

Park West Church also sent Josiah a Get Well basket of candy & balloons.  Very sweet!

Josiah is feeling much better tonight.  He almost seems back to himself.  He will still have activity & diet restrictions for a few days, but other than that, I think the surgery was a success!  We are so thankful for the prayers, texts, emails & social media messages we've received today.  We have the best family & friends!  Thank You!

Brave!

Josiah had his first surgery today...oral surgery.  He has some major overcrowding in his mouth causing his baby teeth to not be able to fall out.  So, they decided to remove 5 of his teeth to make room for the new ones trying to come in.  Josiah has been such a champ about this whole thing.  He hasn't seemed worried or nervous at all.  He walked back to the chair without any hesitation & came out the same way.  He was tired & a little dizzy once they removed his IV, but was soon back to his old self.

Here are the five teeth they removed.  The four canines were supposed to be the most difficult & the lateral incisor was supposed to be the easiest tooth.  The lateral incisor was so trapped by the roots of the other teeth that it's root broke inside his gums.  So, they had to make one incision to remove the root, which caused him to have one stitch put in.  We were hoping this wouldn't happen, but he's handling it so well.  Our little man has been so incredibly brave!

Wedding Day!

Kody & Logan got married today in one of the sweetest weddings I've ever been to.

Logan wanted a worshipful ceremony to honor God as the center of their marriage.

Dustin & I are so happy for these two young people & pray blessings over their lives together.
What a beautiful wedding day!

Wedding Rehearsal!

Tomorrow, one of our former teenagers is getting married.
Kody Miller is marrying his sweet fiance Logan Waddel.

They are having the wedding on Kody's grandmother's farm.  They wanted a cute outdoor wedding.  Tonight was the rehearsal.  It went really well & I can't wait to see the wedding.

Everyone had worked so hard on the farm all day that they had the rehearsal dinner at Kody's parents' home.  It was an awesome night for dinner, a swim & making smores over the firepit.  Perfect way to have a rehearsal dinner if you ask me.  We had a great time!

First Cone!

I took our boys with me shopping today.  They were such champs, that I also treated them to lunch at Chick-Fil-A.  We invited Daddy to join us as well.

After lunch & some time on the playground, I got the boys some ice cream.  Ethan normally asks for ice cream in a cup, but today he wanted it on a cone for the very first time.  This is a picture of my sweet boys enjoying their ice cream cones together.  I can't believe they are growing up so fast.  Needless to say, Ethan enjoyed his first cone.
