Care Group!

Brad & Kerri invited us to speak at their Care Group tonight.

We always love coming to their Care Group because so many of our friends are there.

God was clearly with us as we were encouraged by Dustin to encourage one another.  It was a beautiful time of affirmation & love.  Thanks for having us at your Care Group.

Fusion Fall Retreat Day Two!

Dustin is still gone to the Fusion Fall Retreat, so we sent him this good morning picture!

Dustin sent us this picture from the hike they took on Fall Retreat.  How Gorgeous!

Tonight's evening service went really well.

Dustin said a lot of teenagers responded to salvation & the calling of Jesus on their lives.  I'm so thankful for the impact Dustin is having on our family, our local church, & other churches in our area.  God is so good!!

These sweet boys are crazy excited because they get to see their Dad tomorrow. So, we sent these good night pictures to him tonight!

Josiah's 8th Soccer Game!

Today was Josiah's 8th & final soccer game of the season.

We are so proud of the way he has committed himself.  He hasn't missed a single game or practice all season.  I'm not sure we had a game where the entire team was there.  There were a lot of absences & he always made sure he had his homework done & wanted to plan around his games.  He even left a close friends' birthday party early one week to be at his soccer game on time & we didn't have to make him.  He chose to keep his commitment.

Not only are we proud of Josiah for keeping his commitment, but we are also proud of his effort & improvement on the field.  The size of their soccer field was twice as long this season as it was last season.  This made for some tired kids.  The first few weeks, Josiah would get so tired & slow down tremendously.  He then learned quickly that he could always rest once he got home & pushed through the exhaustion and pain the rest of the season.

His goals this season were to have fun, build friendships, get some exercise, & show the love of Jesus while playing.  Those were HIS goals.  Not winning.  I'd say he accomplished all of those goals & we are so proud of him!!  We love you, Josiah.  Great season, buddy!

Fusion Fall Retreat Night One!

Dustin is the Speaker at Fusion Fall Retreat in Signal Mountain, TN this weekend.

This is a Fall Retreat that several youth pastors we know put together this year.  This is the first Fall Retreat Dustin spoke at that he wasn't their youth pastor.  I think it was nice for him to just prepare the messages instead of the entire retreat weekend.

He said service went really well & he's excited for another day of it tomorrow.

While Dad was away, we sent him this picture tonight to say goodnight!

Josiah's Veteran's Day Program!

Josiah's School had a Veteran's Day Program today at school.

We came to the 3rd-5th grades performance.

The kids did such a great job performing & giving honor to our troops.  Josiah was so happy that we were there & loved showing off his little brother.

Faith Fights in the Face of Fear!

Dustin spoke for a third week in a row in the Cultivate service.  He spoke on 1 Samuel 14.

Dustin encouraged us to say, "NO" to Fear in our lives.  Give fear no place.  "Faith Fights in the Face of Fear!"  Let's all look towards God's Great Expectations & fight for them with Faith!

Soccer Party!

Josiah's coaches threw a soccer party for the team today. Josiah was excited to get to hang out with his soccer buddies. Ethan apparently needed some attention, too.  Before the party got started, he climbed up on the "stage" & gave everyone all kinds of random information.  No one wanted to start the party because it was just too cute & funny!

Coach Chuck & Coach Joe then gave each child a certificate.

Josiah got the "Lower the Boom" award for his powerful kick.

Then we had some Chick-Fil-A Chicken Nuggets & snacks.

At the end of the party, Coach Joe played a video of pictures from the season.

We still have one more game next Saturday, but this was a nice way to end the season.

7th Soccer Practice!

Josiah had his 7th Soccer Practice tonight.

He proved tonight why they call him the "Power Kicker."

He did a really great job!

Seahawks Uniforms!

These guys were so excited for the Seahawks game to come on TV tonight.  This is the first Seahawks game where they get to wear their new Seahawks Uniforms!

Great Expectations!

Dustin spoke again in the Cultivate service this morning.  He spoke from John 6.

He encouraged us to "Evaluate the size of your dreams by the size of your God."  We may only have good expectations, but God has GREAT expectations!!!  I'm so thankful to have this man in my life!
