Happy Early Birthday, Josiah!

After a full day of shopping, it's time to celebrate Josiah.  Josiah is turning 10 in a few weeks & the family wanted to have an intimate celebration with him early.

Josiah loves have multiple birthday celebrations...especially if chocolate is involved.

(& if presents are involved)  This set of gifts are from Granddaddy & Grandma!

They gave him an Under Armour outfit & a Wii U Donkey Kong video game.

This set of gifts are from Uncle Chris!

He gave him $20, a Wii U Jurassic World video game & a Star Wars Lego set.

Ethan was not left out.  Granddaddy & Grandma gave him a new game for his LeapPad.

Happy Black Friday!

The past two years our family has headed out to the mall on Black Friday afternoon to shop for clothes for Christmas.  It honestly isn't so bad at the mall & in the clothing departments.  Plus, the deals are amazing, so we'll take that!

Both years we've taken a picture of the boys in front of this humongous Christmas tree.

Ethan loves how HUGE this tree is.  I wouldn't want to decorate it, though.  Ha!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My cousin Tyler hosted the Moody family for Thanksgiving again this year.  Our family was so excited to go.  We only get to see all of the Moodys once a year.

Tyler & I grew up enjoying Thanksgiving together & now our kids are doing the same.  Walker & Josiah look forward to this night all year long.  If we lived closer, I think they'd be great friends.  They pretty much leave us every year & go off to play together the whole time.

These two had a blast playing football the whole time.  I do wish they could see each other more often.  Thank you so much to Tyler for working so hard to host this family Thanksgiving & for the yummy food.

Acorn Collection

Ethan loves to be outside at Grandma & Granddaddy's house.

They have so many leaves, sticks, & acorns.

Dustin took Ethan outside to play this morning & he started collecting acorns.

He was so proud of his acorn collection!!

NC & Angus Barn!

We left our home today to go to Granddaddy & Grandma's house in NC for Thanksgiving!

When we arrived, they were ready to give these two boys gifts.  They got their annual gift of a Nutcracker.  Since Josiah was born, every year these boys have been given one Nutcracker.  They both love their collection & can't wait to see it grow.

After presents, we went to The Angus Barn for dinner.  This is one of my favorite places in the world to eat.  It is so nice & the food is delicious!

After dinner, our server took the kids to the kitchen to make their own ice cream sundae.

They thought it was so cool to go where the cooks are & make their own dessert.

All four of us had a lot of fun back in the kitchen.

That was a neat experience!

The decor inside the barn is just exquisite...especially when decorated for Christmas.

We had to get a family picture in front of their ginormous Christmas tree.

The boys had to look at every nutcracker.  They even had a kid corner.

Before we left, we had to stop by the Angus Barn gift shop to buy some of their amazing cheddar cheese.  Yummy!  I had to take a picture of the boys picking out an apple to take home with them.  I remember doing this as a little girl & it's special to see my boys doing it as well.

Happy 17th Anniversary!

On November 21, 1998, Dustin & I promised to love & cherish one another for as long as we both shall live.  Fast forward 17 years later & those vows mean more to us today then they did back then. So, today we will celebrate that special day by going on a Date Night!

Our date began by going to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

Then, we went to Connor's for our Anniversary Dinner!

Connor's even gave us an Anniversary card & a free strawberry shortcake for dessert.

While at dinner, we gave each other anniversary cards.  Thank you to Chris for the beautiful card.  Also, thank you to Larry & Janet for the card & the check inside.  That was very thoughtful.  We love you guys & thank you for thinking of us.

Happy 17th Anniversary to the love of my life & my best friend, Dustin Lee.  I love you more today than ever before!  It has been such an adventure so far & I can't wait to see what God has in store for the next 17.  Love you!!
