O is for Octagon!

O was the letter we finished today. So, we decided to decorate an Octagon.

Josiah cut out the octagon & sponge-painted Orange Os all Over it. When he finished, he said, that the Os could also be Ovals. That's my boy...always thinking!

HSCC Night at the Seattle Mariners Game!

Tonight, Holy Seed Community Church ventured out to Safeco Field for Family Night at the Seattle Mariners Game!

This was Josiah's 1st Professional Baseball game. He was SOOO excited when he saw the field. He was proudly sporting a Mariners cap, too.

Here are a few shots of some of the group that went.

The left picture is when the Mariners came running out on the field. The right picture is the first pitch of the game. (If you look closely or click on the right picture, you can see the ball flying through the air).

Here is a picture of our family at the game. Dustin & Josiah were twins. They both wore gray shirts, jeans & Mariners caps. How cute!

Here is Dustin & Josiah waiting in line for our food. We pigged out at the game. We had pizza, hot dogs, french fries, ice cream & OF COURSE...

BLUE Cotton Candy!

Here are some of our friends having a great time!

Safeco Field is so cool all lit up at night! We had such a good time. To top off a great night, the Mariners even beat the Texas Rangers 3-to-2.

HSCC had a great night at the Seattle Mariners Game!

Family Fun at the Beach!

Today was a GORGEOUS Seattle day. Josiah & I decided it would be fun to have a family picnic for dinner at the beach when Dustin got home from work.

We packed up a simple picnic & hit the beach. It was WONDERFUL!

The sun was shining, the waves were crashing & Josiah was crashing Dad's sandcastles.

We had a great time having family fun at the beach!

Teaching the World About America!

Josiah loved July 4th so much this year that he said he wanted to "Teach the World About America." Ha! He said that EVERY DAY for two weeks after the 4th.

He even told Uncle Chris that he wanted to teach the world about America not remembering that Uncle Chris works at American University. Since Uncle Chris has the gift of gift giving, a package arrived at our house full of American University stuff.

Josiah was THRILLED to see all the cool toys & clothes. Thanks Uncle Chris for helping Josiah get one step closer to "Teaching the World About America!"

L is for Ladybug!

L is for Lee & for Ladybug. Of course Josiah already knew how to write Lee, but didn't know how to make a Ladybug. So, I layed out the materials for the Ladybug. The legs are Capital Ls & the antannae are lowercase ls.

He began by painting his red wings & drawing his black dots.

We taped the L Legs & the l antennae on the Ladybug! LOVELY LADYBUG!!!

K is for Kite Bites!

K is the letter we're learning this week. So, we celebrated by making Kite Bites.

He toasted & cut the bread, then spread the jam & put the kite together.

To finish the Kite Bite, he added the crust of the toast as a tail. How cute. Josiah ate his Kite Bite in less than 2 minutes. I think he enjoyed it!

J is for Jell-O Jigglers!

Josiah was excited to learn about J this week since it's the first letter of his name.

We thought we'd finish the fun by making Jell-O Jigglers.

We used J & Jet cookie cutters to make the Jigglers with. They were great!!!
