Walt Disney World Day Six!

Today was Day Six of our family vacation. We decided to return to the Magic Kingdom for our last Disney day so we could see the rest of the park.
This park is decorated so nicely for Christmas. It also has the best parades. We caught an afternoon parade with Josiah. He was jammin to the parade music.
Josiah finally got to meet Aladdin & Jasmine. Jasmine gave him the biggest red kiss of any princess yet. Just click on this picture for a closeup of his big red kiss.
In the afternoon, we split up again. Dustin, Josiah & I went to meet Aladdin. While we were there, we rode The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. As you can see, Josiah & I had a great time. Granddaddy, Grandma & Chris went to ride The Carousel of Progress.
We caught back up with each other to ride the train, Pirates of the Caribbean & Space Mountain again. Then, we headed to Tony's Town Square for dinner. This restaurant is inspired by Lady & the Tramp.
At dinner, Grandma & Granddaddy got a 50th Wedding Anniversary dessert.
This dessert was amazingly delicious, but it also came with a Lady & the Tramp salt & pepper set in the middle. How sweet!
Josiah also got treated for his 5th birthday! This was the best sundae he had yet.
After dinner we stepped outside the restaurant to watch Disney's Electrical Parade. Every time I see this show I am amazed at how talented these people at Disney are. Every float was covered with lights. Josiah's favorite, of course, was Peter Pan on Captain Hook's pirate ship.
We ended our last night at Walt Disney World with a firework show. Disney does the best firework shows. Tonight, however, the fog had settled in & made it hard to see the great lights. This shot, however, was pretty cool...even in the fog.
What a wonderful time we all had at Walt Disney World!!!

Walt Disney World Day Five!

Today was Day Five of our fun trip & we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios! The weather was gorgeous & we had such a fun time!
Right from the start, we began meeting Disney characters. We met Handy Manny, The Little Einsteins & Sarge from Toy Story.
Then, we met Buzz Lightyear & Woody from Toy Story. This was one of the main highlights of Josiah's day because they are two of his very favorites.
Then, we went to a character luncheon with Handy Manny & Little Einsteins. Josiah had fun with characters, dancing, joining the conga line & eating.
After lunch we went to meet more favorite characters...Lotso from Toy Story 3 & The Incredibles. They all wished him a Happy Birthday!
We then went to meet Lightning McQueen & Mater from the movie Cars.
We had such a great time riding rides...especially Toy Story Mania.
We also saw a great parade with Toy Story, Monsters Inc. & A Bug's Life guys.
Later this afternoon, we split up into two groups. Granddaddy & Grandma took Josiah to see a couple of shows...The Voyage of the Little Mermaid & Beauty & the Beast. Chris, Dustin & I went to ride Aerosmith's Rock 'N' Roller Coaster & The Hollywood Tower of Terror. These are my favorite rides at Disney World...perfect for us crazies!
We then all went to see Fantasmic...the best show at Disney. Chris bought Josiah a neon light spinning toy to enjoy during the show.
This show is so special because it not only has fireworks, but amazing lights, water, fire & of course, Disney characters. It was a terrific show!
To end our evening, we had to go see The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. This light display was amazing. This display includes millions of dancing lights perfectly synchronized to Christmas music. It was really beautiful. What a great way to end such a fun day the week before Christmas.

Walt Disney World Day Four!

Today was Day Four of our adventure & we headed for Disney's Epcot Center. The weather warmed up this morning & we were thankful. It's been a cold week so far.
We are all really enjoying each others company. It's so nice to all be together sharing in this once in a lifetime adventure.
Our first stop in Epcot was Disney Storytime. We were invited a few months ago to attend a private Character Storytime just for about 10 children. Josiah was very excited to meet Mary Poppins. She was dressed in her Supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus costume & even had her British accent spot on. She read the story of her life as a nanny. Josiah really enjoyed listening.
After Storytime, we did some shopping in a nearby gift shop. Granddaddy & Josiah had a great time pretending to be Vikings. I don't know who was being Goofy-er!
Speaking of Goofy...Josiah finally got to meet Goofy today. He had been hoping he would meet him all week. Donald Duck was also nearby & got a chance to talk to him. He was so excited to see him that he just squeezed him tight.
We had a great time "Soaring," going on a "Mission to Mars," & riding with "Nemo," but I think our favorite was "Test Track." We rode that one two times. Josiah really enjoyed riding at full speed. Here we are waiting in line together for this awesome ride.
After tons of fun, we headed to Teppan Edo for dinner. This was probably the best meal so far. It was DELICIOUS! The best part was the chef cooked the dinner right in front of us. They brought Josiah a birthday ice sundae & gave him a chef's hat. Cute!
We had a great day at Epcot Center. The weather was perfect & the pace was great for Day Four of our Fantastic Family Adventure.

Walt Disney World Day Three!

Today was Day Three of our trip & we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom.
This park is so unique because it is the most amazing zoo with rides. We began the day by meeting characters from two of our favorite movies (The Lion King & Tarzan).
We went on a safari, rode rides, took a ride on a train & saw a Bug's Life 3-D show. Josiah even got to brush a goat's hair at the petting zoo.
The main attraction, though, was Josiah's favorite roller coaster. Expedition Everest was the highlight of his day. This ride is not a kiddy ride...oh no...it is very much for adult adrenaline junkies. It just so happens that Josiah is a tall 5 year old, so they let him ride. After we got off, he said "I want to ride that again!" So, we went to get back in line & one of the workers saw his birthday button & let us all go right to the front of the line. Wow...that button rocks!
After lots of fun, we decided to leave the park & head for dinner. Everywhere we go, we have the privilege of taking the Disney Bus from our resort to the parks & never have to get in our car or pay for parking. On the bus today, Chris & Granddaddy had the best time playing with & tickling Josiah.
For dinner tonight, we headed to Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney. We enjoyed a nice dinner together. Towards the end of dinner, they announced Josiah's birthday & even put it on the TV for everyone to see. They brought him a huge ice cream sundae as a treat. Spoiled again!
We ended our wonderful day by shopping at Downtown Disney & going to the LEGO store. Josiah loved seeing this larger than life Woody. What a great day!
