Spa Day!

Today was a wonderful day. I got to spend a few hours with some of my favorite people in the world. My girls picked me up this morning for one last Wednesday morning hoo-rah together! We decided our last girl time would be at the spa. They stopped on their way to get me & got coffee (for them) & hot chocolate with a brownie (for me). These girls know me so well!

We sat in the spa, having a Spa Pedicure (1 hour detailed pedicure) while sipping our drinks & eating our snacks. In my opinion, it doesn't get much better than this. Lori & Lisa think so, too.

Here, Emily & I (terrible picture of me, but it's the only one we got) are also enjoying our Spa Pedicure. After our pedicures, we got manicures as well. I felt like a queen.

We had such a fantastic morning together. I will miss my weekly Wednesday time with these amazing women. They have truly helped me become the woman I am. I love you, girls!

One last game...Go Mariners!

One week from tomorrow, we will be moving to Tennessee. So, we decided to spend our last week with the people we love. Tonight was a family night. We went to our last Seattle Mariner's Game at Safeco Field!

We all three really love going to sporting events. This was Josiah's 2nd Mariner's game & said he wanted to be undefeated because the Mariner's won the first time!

It was a beautiful night...beautiful, but COLD!

There is no better way to warm up than by eating some ballpark food. Dustin had to have the Safeco Garlic Fries that are famous for being super good & super stinky. I ate those once & had garlic coming out of my pores for days & vowed to never again eat them. Every sporting event we go to, Josiah has to eat a personal pan pizza. It's weird. You're supposed to eat a hot dog at a game, but he insists on pizza & fries.

Mid way through the game, we found out that Dustin's childhood friend, Saxon & his kids were at the game as well. They invited us down to their ground level seats to hang out with them during the game. We were right behind the action.

This game had to be the most boring & yet most exciting game we've ever been to. The Mariner's scored ZERO points until the 7th inning. The Blue Jays had 7 points in the first 6 innings. So, we all knew the game was over, but Josiah wouldn't give up. He wanted to stay the entire game. So, we stayed & wouldn't you know it, Milton Bradley hit a home run in the 7th inning that led his team into a scoring streak. The Mariner's won 8-7. It was so exciting! I would love to say that the crowd went wild, but there were only a few fans left at the field. So, our family went wild!

After the game, we celebrating by going to Krispy Kreme for a nice treat! YUM! What a great way to celebrate a great victory for the Mariners!!!

SURPRISE!!!!

Tonight, our family was completely blown away by a Surprise Going Away Party given to us by our closest friends. We "thought" we were going to the LeVasseur house to have dinner with our friends. We walked in & they welcomed us, took our coats, gave hugs, etc, but we noticed the kids weren't around. They said they were back in the playroom. So, the three of us headed to the playroom where TONS of people jumped out & yelled "Surprise!!!!" We were blown away. One by one, our closest friends came to us & gave hugs & congratulations on the big move.

Josiah was quite stunned by it all. He was frightened at first, but then saw a room full of his favorite buddies & was in heaven. It was like his birthday!

As you might have guessed, my girls (Lisa, Lori & Lea), threw this big shebang for our family. Lisa's family (top) & Lea's family (bottom) are pictured above. For some reason, Lori's family must have been hiding from the camera. They took pictures of every family in attendance & printed them for a scrapbook where everyone wrote messages to our family under their family picture. What an amazing keepsake we will cherish forever.

They served AMAZING food for this party, too. This wasn't just party food, they served dinner. We had steak, salad, twice baked potatoes, bread, fruit, chips, salsa, hot dogs, cake, etc. The food went on forever & made our tummies glad!

The kids had a fantastic time playing together. I don't know that they've all been in one place together before. It was madness...fun madness!

Our amazing night ended with my girls singing "Tennessee-A" to the tune of "Mama Mia" (one of our favorite movies). They dressed up & sang out to the lyrics that Lisa wrote to go with the song. What a fun ending to an unforgettable night!

Thank you to everyone who helped plan & prepare this party. Our hearts are so full tonight as we lay down for bed. We will never forget the love & thought that went into this special night. We love you all!

Josiah's Last Day of Soccer Class!

Today was Josiah's last day of soccer class in Edmonds, WA.

We truly believe this is Josiah's favorite sport. He has loved every minute of being in Coach Ian's class.

At the end of class, Coach Ian gave everyone a Certificate of Completion. He was so proud of his certificate!

To end his last night of soccer, we surprised Josiah with a present. He opened the present to find a real World Cup Soccer Ball. He was thrilled. As you can imagine, we played soccer in the living room for quite a while. Josiah was allowed to choose dinner & a movie for the night. Of course, Josiah chose McDonald's. We had a great night eating, watching a movie & playing soccer!

iMagine Children's Museum Family Day!

Today we had an Open House at our home in Lynnwood & a friend of mine gave us free passes to iMagine Children's Museum in Everett.

We had such a fantastic family day together. Josiah cooked spaghetti, corn, etc. & even served us our food. The guys climbed high into a tree-house & blew kisses for Mommy.

Josiah had such a good time. He & Dustin enjoyed building in the construction zone & then demolishing their entire city. Josiah even milked a cow (water came out, but he still enjoyed it).

One of the highlights of our day was Josiah splashing around in the water. This kid has always loved the water.

We needed a nice family day away from it all. We had a fantastic afternoon!

New Life!

About a year ago, Dustin & I both felt the Lord speaking to us about "New Life!" We knew he was showing us that new life was coming, but we didn't know what that meant. Over the course of the year, we have been growing & learning from our Heavenly Father & anxiously awaiting this "New Life." Just recently, we heard from the Lord that it was time to close our house church, Holy Seed Community Church. This was a difficult decision & announcement to make, but we knew it was right. Soon after, we announced our leaving, Dustin received a ministry opportunity from a church that is very close to our hearts.

In April, our family will be moving to Knoxville, TN to be the High School Pastors at Park West Church of God. We went to college with the Pastor's son & have had a love for that Pastor & church ever since. Now there are four friends of ours on staff there & an amazing Lead Pastor who would serve as a mentor for Dustin. Dustin has always had great respect for Pastor McGinnis & is excited to learn from him.

Please continue to pray for our family as we take this new leap of faith into our "New Life."

Granddaddy & Grandma Spoil Again!

Today, a special package came in the mail for Josiah. This package had a special note inside. Josiah sat on the couch to read his letter. Very quickly he discovered that this package was from Granddaddy & Grandma Moody.

He reached in the package to discover...toys! First, he found a Spider-man Tag book.

He also found Iron Man/Tony Stark & War Machine action figures.

Wow...great surprises on a random day! Granddaddy & Grandma spoil again!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Our family celebrates Valentine's Day together. We spend the day each year loving on each other. This year, we started the day by giving a few gifts to Josiah.

Josiah is really into Super Hero Squad these days.

So, we surprised him with the new Super Hero Squad DVD & some action figures.

Here are the Super Heroes we gave him.

As you can tell, he was Super excited!

After present time, he wanted to go right down to the playroom & watch his new DVD & play with his new super heroes.

Later in the evening, we Skyped Granddaddy & Grandma who had sent Josiah a Valentine card & money in the mail. He was excited to see that they wanted him to spend his money on super heroes.

After Skyping, we popped in Clifford's Valentine's Day DVD & baked our annual heart shaped pizza for dinner. Josiah loves that tradition.

We sat in the dining room, ate pizza, fruit & salad for dinner while watching the video.

After dinner & a little family game of Mario Kart, we baked chocolate chip cookies & had ice cream. Yum! As we were sitting here together eating dessert, Josiah looked at us & said, "My heart is singing right now!" Oh wow...that kid makes my heart sing. What a precious moment we will never forget.

What a wonderful day to celebrate together. Happy Valentine's Day!
