Cuddle Time!

While I was gone to have some girl time, it looks like Daddy had some good cuddle time!

Girl Time!

Life has been so crazy for a while now that I haven't had the opportunity to do something for me.  So, me & Joscelyn went to have some girl time together today.  We went to Pei Wei for lunch & had time to talk & catch up.  Then, we had pedicures to pamper our feet.  We had so much fun talking, laughing & be goofy together.  What great girl time!

Pajama Day!

Josiah's 2nd grade class has been behaving so well in the hallway & at the special arts classes that they have been receiving compliments.  For every compliment they receive, they get a point.  Their teacher told them that if they received 20 points, they'd have pajama day.

They reached their 20 point goal & today was pajama day.  Josiah was more than excited to wear his new Angry Bird Star Wars pajamas to school.  He really enjoyed pajama day!

I had the honor today of having lunch with two of my guys!  We went to Chili's & had a wonderful time just talking & laughing together.  I love my two lunch dates!

Happy 9th Birthday, Isaac!

Nine years ago today, our Isaac Anthony came into & left our lives.  Our sweet baby boy was stillborn.  Not a day has gone by that I don't think about him.  Though I never saw his beautiful eyes or heard his sweet cry, I had carried him for more than half of my pregnancy & felt him moving around in there.  Once I delivered him, we got to hold him & say goodbye.  I am so thankful we had that opportunity.  I can't wait to get to see him again one day in heaven!

Each year we choose to remember his short life & honor his short presence in our family.  This year we celebrated by going to Olive Garden for lunch.

After lunch we bought 2 balloons.  Each boy picked the color of their choice.  These two wild boys beat each other up with the balloons all the way home.  I'm surprised they didn't pop!

Once we got home, we went to the back yard & said a prayer thanking God for our time with Isaac & for the promise that we'll get to see him again one day.  Then the boys released their balloons to heaven as a birthday present for their oldest brother.

This is something Dustin & I did for Isaac soon after he was born & the tradition has continued every year since.  We love this symbol of both saying hello to our son & the reminder of eternal life.  We can't wait until that day when we get to know our little boy.
Happy Birthday, Isaac!

Infinity!

Today is the day Josiah has been waiting for.  A month ago, Uncle Chris called & said he had ordered Josiah a present.  He sent Ethan a basketball goal, which we've all enjoyed, but Josiah's present wouldn't be released until mid-August.  Well...that day came today.

Josiah's present came early in the day, but I hid it until he had finished his homework.  Then, I pulled it out of the closet & gave it to him.  He was so excited!!!

Chris sent him the new Disney Infinity for Wii!  We very quickly opened it & hooked it up inside our entertainment cabinet.  It even looks cool sitting in there.

Then I read the instructions & game time began.  Can you see the excitement on his face?
Thanks, Uncle Chris for sending Josiah the new Disney Infinity!

Giggling!

I was doing some work around the house this morning when I heard some of the cutest giggling.  It was the kind of giggling that said, "Look what I did!  I'm so excited, but I'm being sneaky, because I'm not sure if this is OK!"  So, I walk around the corner to see this...

Sweet little Ethan had emptied the Mega Block wagon & figured out how to climb inside.  He was so proud of himself.  So while he was inside, I took him for a ride around the house.  Then ensued...more giggling!

New Bike!

Today Josiah got a new bike!  He just bought a new 16 inch bike just after Christmas, but has already outgrown it.  He's even passed the 18 inch bike size.  So, we went shopping & bought him a 20 inch bike & a new helmet.  He picked them out all by himself.

He loves this bike because it is his 2 favorite colors...blue & green!  He was so excited when we got home that he invited a neighbor over to watch him ride.  Teehee!  I'm so excited Josiah loves to ride his bike so much now!  I'm also so excited that he loves his new bike!

Floodline Back to School Party!

Tonight was our annual Back to School Party for Floodline High School Ministries!
This year the party was held at our neighborhood pool.

We had a great turn out for the fun & food!  We served pizza, chips, cookies & drinks.

The students played basketball & tetherball.

They also jumped into the swimming pool.  Josiah loves to swim!

The students had a great time trying to outdo one another on the diving board.  Our whole family jumped in with the students & even I took a turn on the diving board.

This event went down as one of the funnest events we can remember.
Thanks to all who came out to the Floodline Back to School Party!
