Goodnight, 2 year old!

Tonight we put our 2 year old, Ethan, to bed.  In the morning, he'll wake up as a 3 year old.  Goodnight, 2 year old!

Go Seahawks!

Tonight's Seahawks game came on at 8:30pm.  Josiah was so bummed that he wasn't going to be able to watch it because of bedtime.  So, we got both boys ready for bed.  We tucked Ethan in bed & then went to tuck Josiah in bed.  As we tucked Josiah into bed, we handed him his Seahawks t-shirt & told him he might need it.

He was so excited that he almost screamed, but we quickly quieted him so he wouldn't upset Ethan.  We invited Josiah downstairs to join us for the awesome game.

We popped popcorn & had candy for all of us to enjoy while watching the Seahawks beat the Carolina Panthers 31/17.  Go Seahawks!

Fun Family Saturday!

Today was one of the few Saturdays we didn't have anything going on.  So, we decided to have a fun family Saturday!

We began the fun by having a big breakfast,  I made bacon, egg & cheese biscuits with fruit.  Ethan wanted to eat his biscuit parts separate.  To each his own.

After breakfast we had a painting party.

We moved the furniture out of the way & let the boys have a blast painting.

We have frames in our main hallway that display the boys' artwork.  We change out the art periodically.  We realized recently that we didn't have an Ethan painting for Christmas & we didn't have anything for the 4th of July.  So, Ethan made reindeer out of his feet, hand & fingerprints.  Josiah painted an American Flag.

Then, they had free paint.  These are Ethan's three paintings.

These are Josiah's three paintings.

We had such a blast watching these boys paint their hearts out for hours.
What a fun family Saturday!

Ninjas!

My Future Ninja Warriors!

Uncle Chris gave these two "Future Ninja Warrior" t-shirts for Christmas, since they love that TV show so much.  Today is the day they both wanted to wear them.  Too cute!

Celebrating More!

The mail doesn't run on Dustin's birthday, so he got another birthday card in the mail today.

His parents sent him a beautiful birthday card with a nice check in it.
Dustin loves celebrating more!

Happy Birthday, Dustin!

Today is Dustin's 38th Birthday!
With Dustin's birthday being on New Year's Day, we all like to just chill & hang out as a family, instead of doing something that takes too much energy.  Ha!  We're always up late the night before celebrating & don't feel like doing it two days in a row.

We began the celebration by taking Dustin to IHOP for brunch.

We then came home & had present time.

We all gave Dustin a Hallmark card & a homemade card.
Here is Ethan showing Daddy his two cards.

Here is Josiah showing Dad his two cards.

Here I am showing Dustin my two cards.  Hahaha.

'

My card was funny.  I love Dustin's birthday because then he becomes older than me again!

The boys loved helping Dustin open his birthday presents.

We gave him a movie & some clothes.

Here is all of the gifts we gave Dustin.

After opening gifts & playing together, it was time for cake.

We put 3 candles on one side & 8 candles on the other to try to keep from starting a fire with 38 candles.  Hahahahaha!  I like to pick on him.

The cake was delicious & made us all hyper.

After nap time we went to see "Big Hero 6" at the movie theater.
This movie was fantastic.  We all liked it way more than we thought we would.

After the movie, Dustin wanted to get take-out from Pei Wei & watch football.
(Ethan doesn't like Pei Wei, so he had McDonalds).  We had such a great time celebrating as a family today.  Dustin, we love you more than life.  We hope you had a great day, too.
Happy Birthday, Dustin!

Happy New Year!

The Sagraves family had our family over to celebrate New Year's Eve with them.  We decided that we all wanted to be comfy for our hangout time.

Our crew came decked out in Seahawks gear.

Their crew were comfy in their sweats & PJs.

Right at midnight, (yes the kiddos stayed up until midnight) we heard fireworks in the neighborhood.  The kids all ran to the window to see.  We had a great time with the Sagraves!

Happy New Year!
