Adjective Day!

Today was adjective day at school & our creative kid chose "heroic."

The kids were challenged to dress up as their adjective.  In order to not look like one specific superhero, but to look more like "heroic," Josiah chose to put on different superhero decor.  He wore a Thor helmet, Superman t-shirt, Captain America shield & a red cape.  Our "heroic" son is also "creative."  He had a fun time on Adjective Day.

Pool Time!

Our neighborhood pool opened today & our family went down & enjoyed it.

Josiah had a great time playing with his friends from our street.

Ethan also had a great time playing in the pool.  Our boys love pool time!

Graduation Sunday!

Today was the day we recognize all of our graduates from church.

Dustin was able to present all of our High School & College Graduates to the church during both morning services.  We are so proud of each & every one of you for your accomplishments.  Happy Graduation Sunday!

3rd Grade Fun Day!

Today was 3rd Grade Fun Day at Josiah's school.

Here is Josiah with his best friends from his class this year.  The left picture is Josiah with his friend, Anand.  They chose each other as partners for this event.  The right picture shows Anand, Josiah, Jackson, & Jaden.

We even ran into Aaron Haward at the event & had to snap a picture.
Josiah & Anand had a blast playing each of the games.

Fun Day is for 1st-3rd graders & is like Field Day, but meant to be fun instead of competitive.

Josiah did better this year than ever before.  He won almost every event.  Of course that made him a happy camper.  We had a great time at Josiah's 3rd Grade Fun Day!

Pinewood Derby 2015!

Tonight was the Pinewood Derby for all the kids at our church.

Josiah sat with his friends during the race.

Josiah loves participating in this race every year.  Josiah's car is 2nd from the left in the above picture.  He painted his car himself to look like a Seahawk.

Josiah's car did great in all of the races!  Josiah is standing at the left side of the above picture rooting his car on as it raced down the track.

Ethan brought two of his own cars to race on the floor while watching the other cars race.  Once he got a Ring Pop to eat, though, he stopped racing & started following his brother around the track as they both ate their ring pops.

We all enjoyed watching & rooting Josiah's car on!

The workers totaled all of the races based on fasted time.  Josiah was thrilled to hear his name announced as the 2nd place winner for Speed out of 18 racers in his age division.

Congratulations, Josiah!  We are so excited for & proud of you.  The thing that made us the most proud was the way you were rooting on your friends & encouraging them when they didn't do well.  Even in the race where one of your friends beat you, you congratulated him.  That makes us the most proud.  What a great young man you're becoming.  We love you!  Congrats, Josiah, on getting 2nd place in the Pinewood Derby 2015!

Surprised!

Dustin surprised Josiah today by popping into his school to have lunch with him.  He had no idea his Dad was coming & was super excited to see him!

Dustin brought his favorite to eat...Taco Bell!  They also went through the lunch line to get an ice cream to go with their lunch.  It was cotton candy flavored.  They both said they had a great lunch & Josiah loved that he was surprised!

Playdate!

Ethan & I had the Sagraves over for a playdate today!

I always enjoy Kerri's company & I love that our kids love each other, too.  Ethan is enamored by baby Caleb.  I think he wants a little brother, too.  Ha!  Maybe a puppy is in his near future.  We had fun playing inside & eating some lunch.  After lunch, though, we went outside & had a blast zooming up & down the street in Ethan's jeep.  He's a pro now.

Thanks for coming over, Sagraves family.  We had a great playdate!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day 2015!

My day started off very well.  I got lots of love & cuddles from my boys.
Then, Dustin made coffee cake, scrambled eggs, & bacon for breakfast!

We then went to church where Dustin preached in the Middle School Ministry.

After church, my guys treated me to Olive Garden for lunch.

We then came home & opened cards & a special present.

Each of my three guys made homemade cards for me!
Also, Josiah made me a special coupon book at school for Mother's Day!

Then, they gave me a framed picture of their fingerprints.  Oh my goodness.  Now I'll have their fingerprints forever!!  What a beautiful, thoughtful gift!!

Here are the cards & gift from my guys!

This afternoon, we FaceTimed Granddaddy & Grandma to wish her a Happy Mother's Day.  We tried to with Dustin's parents, but they were at church & out celebrating at different times because they're three hours behind us.  It's always nice to have FaceTime when you don't live close enough to see family in person on these special days.

Josiah & Dustin baked me a chocolate cake for Mother's Day!  Yummy!

We all enjoyed the delicious cake with some ice cream, too.

We took a spontaneous trip to the toy store & then returned home with dinner.  It was such a beautiful day that we ate dinner on the deck.

We then spent the rest of the evening playing in the yard.  We mostly played the game "Foursquare" with Josiah & had a blast.  After the kids went to bed, Dustin & I stayed up & watched a chick flick...my pick!  What a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day.  This might have been the best one yet!

To all the special women in our lives, Happy Mother's Day!
