Last Day of 4th Grade!

Today is Josiah's last day of 4th Grade!

I am so proud of this young man.  He is doing so well in school & is taking such pride in his work.  He has finished the 4th grade with straight A's & it was the hardest year yet.  We are so proud of you, Josiah! Congratulations on finishing your last day of 4th Grade!

Fun Day for 4th Grade!

Josiah had his end of the 4th grade party at school on the track today.

They played all kinds of outdoor games like the shoe game, red rover,

turn the tarp, the sack race,

& over under.  At the end of the fun, every kid got a popsicle.
It was a fun day for 4th grade!

Family Fire Fun!

Tonight was cooler than most nights we've had recently.
So, we decided to build a fire in our fire pit.

We ate dinner by the fire & then roasted marshmallows & ate Hershey bars.  Forget the graham crackers...this crew just wants soft marshmallows & chocolate.

After dinner, I sat in a lounge chair & read my book, while the three guys played a game of football together.  What a lovely evening having family fire fun!

Sleepover!

Luke's parents are out of town for the weekend & we get to keep him for one of those nights.  Josiah has been so excited for this for weeks.  I picked the two boys up from school & they were so excited.  They immediately began plotting every possible activity they could fit into 24 hours. They were so excited.

After a snack, they wanted to start the fun outside.  They put the sprinkler under the trampoline & got swimsuits on to have fun on the hot day.  They even played dodgeball while on the trampoline.  They were laughing so hard & were soaking wet.

They also played basketball & soccer in the yard before coming in.  They spent most of the afternoon playing with Legos, watching TV, & playing video games.

For dinner, we ate in the living room & Luke got to pick our movie.  He picked "The Nut Job."  We ate hot dogs, chili, chips, fruit, & baked chocolate chips cookies for dessert.

Once we got Ethan to bed, it was movie time for the big boys.  They chose "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens."  They played with Legos & ate popcorn while they watched the movie.

Josiah & Luke were the last ones to wake up in the house.  Ha!  They passed out within minutes & then woke up last.  They must have worn themselves out.  After a huge breakfast of muffins, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, & fruit, they went back out onto the sprinkler trampoline for more water dodgeball fun.

They came inside, played with more Legos, & then had lunch in the living room while watching another TV show.  They had such a great time & packed as much in as they possibly could.

Josiah had a great time having Luke over for a sleepover!

4th Grade Field Day!

Today was 4th Grade Field Day at Josiah's school!

This is his 4th grade class.  He asked me to come along to enjoy the fun.

In the 1st part of the day, Josiah participated in the Sack Race

& the Hula Hoop Competition.

He did great in both!!

His team got a 2nd place ribbon for their efforts!

In the 2nd part of the day, Josiah participated in Accuracy Throw,

Beach Bum Relay,

& Jump Rope.

He did great in each of those as well & his team received 3rd place ribbons.

I was so proud of Josiah for his hard work helping his class get 3rd place overall out of all 5 classes.  They all really did great & we had a blast!  We really enjoyed 4th grade field day!

Happy Mother's Day 2016!

Today I had the honor & pleasure of being celebrated as the mother of these two boys!  They are so precious to me & I cannot imagine a day without either of them.  I am also thankful for the promise that one day I will get to see Isaac in heaven as well.

I came downstairs this morning to cards & a wonderful breakfast.  They served me huge double chocolate muffins, scrambled eggs, bacon, & fruit.  It was delicious!

My sweet Ethan made a homemade card for me.  It was full of smiley faces, since he just learned how to make a smiley face.  He even signed his name on the inside.  Sweet boy!

My amazing Josiah also made a homemade card for me.  He wrote a very special message inside for me & drew a lovely picture.  His words are already making me cry.  Such a sweetheart!

Even Dustin made a homemade card for me.  On the back of his card were the handprints of all three of my guys.  Wow!  This made me cry.  So precious to see their three hands together.  Josiah also made a special craft for me at school.  It was very sweet & thoughtful!

Here are my precious cards from my three guys!

After a lovely breakfast, we all went to church together.  Then, they took me to lunch at Olive Garden.  My favorite!  It was so delicious!

We then came home & I got into my pajamas to rest for an afternoon of pampering.  The guys made me a cake & even watched "Tangled" with me.  I never get to watch princess movies in a house full of boys, so I savor those moments when I get them.  Even during dinner I got to pick another movie to watch with my boys.  We watched, "Ratatouille."  It was so nice to just take an afternoon off & rest while hanging out with my three guys.  I am so blessed to have them in my life.  I love those guys so very much!  Dustin & I even got to talk to both of our moms. We miss them terribly & wish we could be with them on this very special day.

Happy Mother's Day 2016!
