Granddaddy & Grandma came for a visit!

This morning, Granddaddy & Grandma Moody left from staying with us this week.

They came to play with their babies while Dustin was away at camp.
They also came to help their Mommy stay sane!  Ha!

They entered the house with presents.  Josiah got the Super Soaker he was hoping for.

Ethan went right over for his present somehow knowing it was his.  He couldn't have been happier about what was inside.  This kid loves to play with balls.  Grandma has continued her tradition.  She always gave Josiah a ball every time she saw him when he was little.  Sweet!

Before bed their first night, Granddaddy & Grandma let the boys play on their air mattress before they put sheets on.  These kids love doing this.  Then later that night, Granddaddy & Grandma read Ethan's Bible to him before bed.

He has trouble not flipping the pages during Bible reading!  Ha!
They also did Josiah's devotion with him every night before bed.  He loved that!

Josiah spent a lot of time playing with the neighborhood kids during the day, that I didn't get photos of him.  But this just gave Granddaddy & Grandma a little more one-on-one time with Ethan...which I think they loved.  Ethan took Granddaddy for walks around our back yard.

Grandma enjoyed pushing her little sweetheart in the swing & making him laugh.

They even watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Ethan while playing with his figures.

Thursday night before bed Grandma & Granddaddy got extra special love.  So precious!

Then Saturday morning came & it was time for them to go home.  Josiah was sad about that.

Ethan gave big kisses before they left.  His kisses still make us fear that he's going to eat us, but we still accept the wide open mouth kisses with a smile!

We love Granddaddy & Grandma so much & are so happy they came for a visit!

We Miss You, Daddy!

Dustin has been gone all week to Youth Camp.  I know if I were away from these angels for 5 days, I would miss them so much.  So, I took a picture of the two of them together each day.  I texted these pictures to Dustin so he could at least see them every day while he was gone.  Dustin just called & he is on his way home!  Yahoo!  We miss you, Daddy!

Youth Camp!

This week has been the week of TN Church of God Teen Camp.  Dustin was asked to be the evening speaker for the four evenings of worship services at the camp geared for 14-17 year olds.  Dustin was truly honored & excited at such an amazing opportunity to help teens discover or rediscover Christ & walk forward in their relationship with Him.

Dustin, Caleb & Tyler are left early Monday morning to head to camp for the week.  As you can tell, they were a little excited & appear to be mostly delirious.  Ha!

Each morning at camp there were small groups that introduced a "theme" for the day.  Monday's theme was "Surrender."  Tuesday's theme was "Stop."  Wednesday's theme was "Start" & Thursday's theme was "Serve."  Dustin was asked to develop the curriculum for the entire week's themes & discussions for all 4 different camps this summer.  Each evening, Dustin then spoke with a very specific message about each theme.

Dustin called me each night & was blown away at what God was doing.  He said the leaders were doing an amazing job & the teens were very open to what God had for them.

He was also amazed at how God was speaking through him in a new & fresh way.  He said there wasn't any "Church Hype" given to these students & yet there was an authentic move of God each night.  These students seemed to have had "real change."

I thank God for using Dustin to deliver His message to these teens.  I thank God that this wasn't "just another camp" for them.  I thank God for the changed lives that will be displayed in the way they "serve their world."  I thank God for the other men in the photo above who worked hard to make this camp an amazing environment for God to reach these teenagers.

My First Tomato!

Today I have my very first tomato!!! Dustin bought me two tomato plants last week & I already have a tomato.  Growing up with farmers in my Mom's family, I have had fresh tomatoes my whole life.  Moving away from these fresh tomatoes & buying store bought ones was difficult.  So, Dustin bought me my very own plants & now I have my first tomato!!!

Chillin with Mickey Mouse!

Ethan's favorite TV show or video is "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse."  As they are introducing each character, he is trying his best to yell out their names.  It is so sweet!

Today, I turned on his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse video in his playroom so he could watch while he played with his toys.  I later walked into the playroom to find this.  Ethan was lounging in his bean bag chair chillin with Mickey Mouse!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!

Today we decided to spend the day relaxing in our back yard.
Dustin grilled hot dogs for us all to have on the deck.

We also had watermelon, which Josiah had no problem eating most of.  He loves the stuff!

I'm not sure if Ethan enjoyed playing with his toys or eating hot dog the most!

Dustin ran out after lunch & bought two new tomato plants for me.  He knows how much I love fresh tomatoes & wanted me to have some of my very own!  He's so thoughtful!

For dinner we were back on the deck with grilled cheeseburgers & more watermelon.
Ethan's cheeseburger might be the tiniest I've ever seen.  Compare it to my burger on the left.

After dinner & play time in the yard, we fired up the firepit & made some smores.

Usually that means just eating Hershey bars plain & roasting marshmallows.
We rarely actually put them on graham crackers.  Weird...I know!

We had such a wonderful family day together just relaxing & enjoying each other's company.
We are so thankful for those who have served & currently serve our country.
Happy Memorial Day!
